Interns work closely with staff and volunteers to help facilitate adaptive alpine skiing and snowboarding lessons at Breckenridge and Keystone Resorts. They will assist with participant support, equipment preparation, lesson logistics, and group programming while learning about adaptive equipment and instructional techniques.
Participants in both programs include people of all ages and abilities. BOEC serves children with sensory processing disorders, youth and adults with visual impairments, historically disadvantaged youth, adults with traumatic brain injuries, children with hemophilia, people with spinal cord injuries, adults with multiple sclerosis, and many others across a wide spectrum of disabilities and diagnoses.
In both seasons, interns are deeply involved in course and program delivery from start to finish.
