Kelly Bourdet is an Editor In Chief, Gizmodo at Gizmodo and is based in New, York. She has worked as Founding Director, Health & Technology at Refinery29; Freelance Journalist at Freelance Journalist and Editor; and Contributing Writer at Motherboard at VICE Media. Kelly studied at Emory University and THE NEW SCHOOL between 2009 and 2011.

I'm an experienced editor and newsroom leader with a demonstrated track record of success in digital media. Currently I'm Editor-in-Chief of Jalopnik.com, the automotive and transportation news website in the Gizmodo Media Group division of Univision Communications. Jalopnik is the most-read car enthusiast site on the internet, and one that has a strong presence across multiple platforms including TV, digital video, podcasts and live events.

Over the past few years I've led Jalopnik and its team through two corporate reorganizations, broadened its coverage into culture, lifestyle and the tech space, built its digital video operation into one with millions of monthly views, nearly doubled the audience to more than 13 million global monthly readers, executive produced Jalopnik's first TV show, Car vs. America, and launched its first podcast, Tempest. We have won awards for our investigative journalism centered on consumer protection and criminal justice issues, and we have served as a voice for a generation of car enthusiasts.

When I'm not finding time to sleep or working on old BMWs, you can find me hanging around Brooklyn with my wife and our dog, but we'd all rather be in the West Texas desert.
