Hubner Seed was founded by father and son team Robert L. Hubner Sr. and Robert L. Hubner Jr. in 1972.
The Deufol Group’s success story began in 1979 with the takeover of Dönne + Hellwig GmbH by Detlef W. Hübner, the grandson of the company’s founder at the time.
Venturing into the USA in 2001, the acquisition of J&J Packaging allowed to further expand its services and offered distribution and warehousing solutions to its customers.
Then in 2007, Hubner Seed Co., Inc. was purchased by American Seeds LLC (Monsanto) to further expand its Eastern presence.
In 2008, D’Logistics changed its name to Deufol, and J&J Packaging became Deufol Sunman.
