This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and indirectly to the Operations Director.
Duties & Responsibilities
Understand StepUP Technology Alignment objectives, as well as the role and function of other technical team members.
Act as the main point of contact both to the client within our organization and within our organization to the client.
Attend all TAP (Technical Alignment Process) team meetings to collaborate and work on improving the customer TAP experience.
Conduct and/or attend regular client tactical meetings with the TAMs (Technology Alignment Manager) as needed to keep clients updated on status.
Attend bi-weekly TAP Team strategy meetings as a functioning member of the TAP team.
Perform at least one unique client touch per client per month.
Develop and maintain working knowledge of assigned customers' environments and IT challenges.
Keep client account information up-to-date including agreements, key contacts, and sales documents.
Identify customer technical risk and collaborate with internal teams appropriately.
Become a valued member of the Standards and Alignment Committee to continue to develop and refine our standards.
Maintain training and proficiency in StepUP's my ITprocess/TruMethods processes and procedures
Maintain a weekly vCIO playbook documenting your activities for the week.
Develop business acumen with key contacts at client sites.
Advise and train clients on how to use the Support Desk team outside of the proactive TAP process.
Maintain high positive client and user satisfaction and relationships and client feedback ratings.
Keep up to date with relevant IT developments and telecommunication systems, hardware, and software applications within the industry.
Implement, participate, and promote Quality Assurance (QA) objectives, processes, and procedures of the Company.
Aid in the training, mentoring and development of other vCIO staff, as assigned.
Manage and/or generate any escalated service issues and ensure their resolution.
Perform other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Sales Manager or TAP team Leader.

About the Role

This includes troubleshooting PCs and Macs, resolving network issues, and repairing or configuring printers/scanners - including issues like Canon MF printer network setup or G-series ink absorber error codes (e.g., 1700).
You'll be dispatched to customer sites, work independently, and complete service calls efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues on Windows and mac OS systems
Resolve boot errors, OS issues, and login problems
Set up or troubleshoot Wi-Fi and wired internet connections
Replace or upgrade hardware (HDD, RAM, cooling fans, etc.)
Configure or connect printers and scanners (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.)
Address common printer error codes (e.g., ink absorber, paper feed, connectivity)
Perform general maintenance on multifunction printers (MFPs)
Reinstall operating systems using bootable USBs or recovery media
Install remote tools or shortcuts as requested
Communicate clearly with customers and provide basic post-service support
Document service visits and escalate complex issues as needed
Requirements
2+ years of field IT support experience, including computer and printer work
Familiarity with Canon, HP, and other common printer brands
Knowledge of error code troubleshooting (e.g., Canon code 1700, boot issues, driver conflicts)
Experience with both Windows (10/11) and mac OS troubleshooting
Must have personal tools (bootable USB, screwdriver set, etc.)

Department Summary
Early Childhood CARES provides Early Intervention (EI) and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services to infants, toddlers, and preschool children in Lane County. Each year it serves over 1700 children who have developmental delays or disabilities. Established in 1992 as an outreach unit in the College of Education, it is funded by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and is one of nine programs in Oregon delivering EI/ECSE services across the state.
All counties in Oregon have EI/ECSE programs that use software developed at Early Childhood CARES. Our primary application group, ec Web, is complex and includes robust case management, outcomes reporting, assessment tracking, forms processing including electronic signatures, immunization analysis, Medicaid billing record management, metrics, and reporting tools. There are over 2,600 users that work in ec Web to manage records for over 13,000 children actively receiving services, in addition to children who are in the referral and evaluation processes. The Parent Portal, an integrated software system that facilitates electronic form signing and document delivery, serves approximately 13,000 parents across the state.
Position Summary
The Web Applications Programmer position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, documentation, maintenance, and support of application programming for ec Web and the Parent Portal. The person in the position will interpret requirements, contribute to technical discussions, implement solutions, and communicate results to users and coworkers. They must diagnose assigned issues and address them through software fixes, updates, and addition of new functions and features. The Web Applications Programmer works closely with three other programmers with wide development responsibility and must be able to constructively collaborate with team members, contribute to the overall product design and development practices, mentor colleagues and be mentored.
EI/ECSE in Oregon is a dynamic and complex environment, so we use Agile-like programming methods for application development, which emphasize a close relationship with content experts and users, rapid adaptation, and constant attention to design and innovation. The Server Systems Engineer will contribute to complex projects and cross-functional technical teams to conduct and deliver technology capabilities. This position develops and facilitates technology planning direction and decisions in conjunction with the Information Services team, university stakeholders, and vendors.
This position may supervise student employees and will be part of an on-call rotation that may be expected to work weekends.

Responds directly to customer requests for assistance. Provides assistance to customers via phone, email, ticket system, walk-up and in-person onsite visits. Department Summary
This position will reside in the Center for Human Development (CHD), a research and outreach unit within the College of Education. CHD has been in existence since 1972 and houses the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and research and outreach in Early Intervention (EI). Faculty and staff within CHD engage in research, scholarship, personnel preparation, technical assistance and outreach to support effective systems for individuals with disabilities, their families, and the professionals that serve them. These activities are carried out by 6 Ph.D. level scientists, technology and administrative support staff, experts in research methodology, and two professors of practice who help to ensure that center activities are translated into practice. CHD also receives direction and support from a Community Advisory Council comprised of self-advocates, family members, and professionals who work to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities through policy, advocacy, and systems change. All CHD activities are supported by a grants management unit (DESTNY GMU), which provides pre-award support for state and federal funding applications, post-award support for staffing, and the necessary supports for managing the fiscal and reporting requirements of externally funded projects.
Position Summary
The position will support several aspects of the project including assisting with the development, launching, and monitoring of a series of online professional development modules for a variety of different audiences; and coordinating and managing key implementation aspects of the project including coordinating, documenting, and cataloging ongoing digital initiatives with our education, community-based, and industry partners throughout the state; coordinating and attending weekly and monthly meetings with the project director, project partners, and representatives from the funding agency; and assisting with developing semi-annual and annual reports for the funding agency. The position reports directly to the project's director and will work closely with our existing partners and the funding agency providing ongoing planning, consultation, advice, and direction related to all aspects of the project, which relies heavily on the use of information technology. Many of the activities will involve ongoing coordination of activities with school-based providers including Career-Technical Education Programs, teachers, special educators, and educational assistants.
Minimum Requirements
This classification requires knowledge and skills of technology and information systems generally obtained through an AA degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified course work in applicable fields of study and at least one year of related work experience.
Professional Competencies
• Strong direct IT communication support and problem-solving skills, both independently and within project teams.
• Ability to independently develop, administer, manage large learning management systems such as CANVAS, Talent LMS.
• Ability to integrate relevant applications in LMS to meet user needs (e.g., zoom, MS Teams, JAVA script).
• Ability to maintain materials, inventory, and technical references and administer facility and system security practices.
• General knowledge of operating systems and hardware for maintenance, and problem identification and analysis
• Ability to integrate multiple applications and/or systems.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Systems Automation Services, the Server Systems Engineer will serve in a team environment focused on the design, deployment, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of UO Cloud server computing. Core UO Cloud services include private cloud virtual servers running managed Windows and RedHat operating systems. Additionally, the team operates several management applications to operate private cloud services at an enterprise scale. UO Cloud services are provided within a complex academic and research environment.
