PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Advocate on behalf of workers in deactivation and arbitration proceedings.
* Maintain own case load including conducting investigations, legal research and strategy, drafting legal memos, case presentation and enforcement proceedings.
* Along with all employees, help maintain a positive, respectful, welcoming, professional and culturally competent work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Admitted to, or willing to apply for admission to, the Washington State Bar. Experience with labor or employment law, public defense, and/or trial experience is a plus.
* Must have ability to investigate and litigate cases independently and collaboratively; ability to timely handle multiple cases at once and manage stressful situations.
* Ability to communicate orally and in writing and to negotiate with third parties on behalf of drivers.
* Experience representing or working with immigrants, low-wage workers and vulnerable populations.
