Review ERISA plan documents to determine whether the plan is a self-funded plan that legally may enforce a lien for medical benefits, and provide a recommended conclusion to GC Legal Staff. Tailor coverage denial letters for routinely encountered coverage issues by adding fact-specific claim details under the close guidance of GC Legal Staff.

We are seeking a talented Paralegal to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.
The Paralegal position will support corporate attorneys in the Company's headquarters.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with legal team members to support internal clients as needed.
Provide support to process and assist in coordinating redlines to agreements, assist with the preparation of documents, certificates, amendments and other legal documents and correspond with business groups and Contracts team personnel to finalize and execute contracts.
Assist with litigation discovery, including document production and related issues.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of closing binders.
Maintain corporate records, including minute books, board resolutions, and organizational documents.
Assist in managing and imputing data into the Law Department's Legal Tracker system, including assisting with managing law department databases and records.
Perform various research functions as required.
Help manage internal compliance efforts to align with state and federal laws.
Assist with the preparation of Law Department budgets and monthly legal accruals.
Assist in building and driving a culture of compliance and efficiency throughout the Company and to help assess current and anticipated emerging risk areas across the Company.
Support members of the legal team with special projects and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate law department, law firm or other similar environment, preferably with increasing responsibility over that time.
Proficient in the use of technology platforms in the administration of contracting and other legal documents
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Extensive experience handling commercial contracts administration within corporate legal setting
Project management or other similar experience managing strategic initiatives
Background in areas of contract administration
Possess a valid Notary Public commission in New Jersey

The salary range for this position is $72,815.60-$116,172.65. The compensation range listed in this posting is in compliance with applicable state law. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate's compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance-based increases.

Association Actions
Prepare initial demand letters, notice of intent to foreclose letters, and liens.
Communicate with delinquent owners via phone, email, and letter correspondence as needed.
Process payments from owners and prepare balance due letters, payoff letters, estoppels, etc.
Prepare and generate legal documents including complaint packages, Foreclosure Motions, Stipulations for Settlement, Motion for Summary Judgment including the Certification of Amount Due and Certification of Services Rendered.
Calendar Motion return dates for attorney and follow up to confirm date/time of hearing.
Prepare and generate the Final Judgment application and/or Motions as well as the Post Judgment Enforcement, including but not limited to Writs of Execution and Wage garnishments.
Prepare hearing folder for attorney to take to hearing.
Communication with clients regarding status of actions.
Prepare monthly status reports.
