As chief executive officer of Magellan Rx Management, Mostafa Kamal is responsible for all of Magellan’s pharmacy business lines, including the commercial, government and specialty pharmacy divisions. He leads the strategy, operations, growth and profitability of Magellan Rx Management with the overarching goal of delivering innovative, best-in-class drug management solutions to help clients improve the health of the people they serve, as well as the overall quality and cost of care.

Previously, Kamal was senior vice president and general manager of Magellan Rx Management’s specialty pharmacy business. In this role, he led sales, account management, operations and product development across the division, delivering industry-leading strategies and solutions to help clients successfully manage complex specialty pharmaceuticals in one of the fastest growing areas of healthcare spending. As chief underwriting officer, he directed the organization’s overall pricing and risk management strategies, and served as vice president of pricing, underwriting and analytics, where he developed financial strategies to help clients manage their pharmacy spend.

Before joining Magellan, Kamal held various roles with Medco Health Solutions, Inc., with responsibility for pricing, underwriting, strategy and Medicare Part D products and services. Additionally, he worked with clients to develop strategies to address healthcare reform and associated product offerings to ensure clients were successfully positioned in the post-healthcare reform era.

Kamal received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Rutgers University.

Anthony Kotin is a CMO at MAGELLAN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH and Strategic Advisor at Covera Health and is based in Canton, Connecticut. He has worked as Chief Medical Officer at Prudential Healthcare, Benefit Consultant at Mercer, and Chief Medical Officer at MAGELLAN HEALTH INC. Anthony works or has worked as Chief Medical Officer at COMPLEXCARE SOLUTIONS INC.. He studied at Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center between 1973 and 1977.

Dr. Caroline Carney is a board-certified internist and a board-certified psychiatrist. She joined Magellan Health in 2016 and serves as Magellan Health’s Chief Medical Officer, while continuing as chief medical officer for Magellan Rx Management. Her previous experience includes the role of SVP Chief Medical Officer of Magellan Behavioral Health and Magellan Specialty Health. She served as the chief medical officer for regional health plans where she gained experience in Medicaid, Medicare, Exchange, and commercial populations.

David Bourdon is the chief financial officer of Magellan Health, a leader in managing the fastest growing, most complex areas of health, including special populations, complete pharmacy benefits and other specialty areas of healthcare. Mr. Bourdon joined the Company as CFO in September 2020 and is responsible for providing company-wide financial leadership.



Mr. Bourdon is a superb and accomplished leader with over two decades of significant experience leading finance organizations on behalf of healthcare businesses undergoing transformational growth. He has a strong understanding of the healthcare market combined with deep strategic and operational financial expertise.



Prior to joining Magellan, his career at Cigna spanned more than 21 years including 14 years as CFO of its various businesses. Mr. Bourdon has led best-in-class global finance organizations supporting diverse Cigna businesses offering a range of products and services including individual and employer healthcare, behavioral, pharmacy management and dental. Prior to joining Magellan Health, Bourdon served as CFO of Cigna’s Integrated Medical, Life & Disability, and International Markets businesses with over $45 billion in revenue.



Bourdon has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Management from the United States Coast Guard Academy.

Prakash Patel, MD has more than 16 years of senior leadership experience in specialty healthcare, healthcare operations, product development, alliances, acquisitions and strategic planning. Dr. Patel was recruited to Access MediQuip in 2011. Prior to joining Access MediQuip, Dr. Patel was Chief Corporate Development Officer for Magellan Health Services, Inc., where he was instrumental in the acquisitions of ICORE and First Health Services. He also led operations for Magellan-owned National Imaging Associates and strengthened its focus on specialty healthcare management. Dr. Patel holds a doctor of medicine degree from Cornell University Medical College and a B.S. magna cum laude from the University of Michigan. He completed three years of an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh, and completed finance, marketing and accounting classes at the University of Connecticut’s MBA program. Srini Koushik is an innovative and dynamic executive with a track record of leading organizations of all sizes to deliver business results through the use of digital technologies, design thinking, agile methods, lean processes, and unique data driven insights. In his most recent role, he was the CTO for Magellan Health. Prior to Magellan, he was the President and CEO of NTT Innovation Institute Inc., a Silicon Valley-based startup focused on building multi-sided platforms for today’s digital businesses. His career includes C-level roles at Fortune 100 Companies HP, Nationwide and IBM.
