The Baillie Group is looking to add an experienced Maintenance Manager at our Owego, NY facility.
This individual will be responsible for all aspects of a safe and effective maintenance program for the sawmill and yard operations while also supporting the rolling stock needs. The program should incorporate a focus on safe work practices, a strong preventative maintenance component as well as a quick response repair component. The Maintenance Manager will develop a culture of loss control and prevention, aiming at continuous improvement by minimizing downtime, assisting with process, operations, and improving overall equipment effectiveness.
Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:
Training

Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
Work with our current CMMS program Fiix to plan, implement, and manage a comprehensive and predictive maintenance program for production and facilities equipment.
Maintain capital asset databases, including equipment performance and repair histories.
Plan and manage capital improvement projects to successful completion to include vendor quotations, budgeting, preparation of capital project requests, procurement, engineering design, and management of human and capital resources.
Hours are to be flexible to maximize the sawmill's productive time. It is expected that these hours will include some nights, weekends, and holidays.
The Maintenance Manager will keep abreast of the most recent developments in the field and act to continually improve their managerial and mechanical skills.
The Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Sawmill Superintendent.
The Maintenance Manager will strive to carry out his/her responsibilities in a professional manner with the highest level of integrity.
Maintenance Manager Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage.
Proven experience as a maintenance manager or other managerial role.
Solid understanding of technical aspects of mechanical and electrical systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus

The expected salary for this position is $77,000.00 - 131,000.00 USD. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from High School or equivalency diploma and 5 or more years of practical experience that, in the opinion of the reviewing agency, determines the individual has an expert level of knowledge with multiple trades related to the maintenance field.
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience which includes directing the activities of others in the service, repair, and preventative maintenance field within regulatorily monitored residential and commercial properties.
SPECIAL ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Strong working knowledge of building operations, maintenance and repair procedures, i.e., carpentry, electrical, plumbing, building, heating, air conditioning ventilation, construction principles and grounds keeping. Consistently demonstrates the ability to review projects and devise the comprehensive job plan for completing the task.
Demonstrates a strong level of knowledge for the requirements of NYS Building Code and NFPA Life Safety Code.

Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform basic cleaning tasks, along with inspection and cleaning of heavy machinery and equipment.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks: sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, emptying garbage cans, etc.
* Keep work areas clean at all times: pick up all scrap plastic, purge baskets, banding, garbage, etc.
* Perform intense machinery cleaning: wiping down extrusion lines, degreasing of machinery if needed, changing/cleaning screens or filters, etc.

· Maintain Conifer Customer Service Standards at all times. Consistently maintain a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with residents, co-workers and the general public.

Duties Description The Maintenance Supervisor 2 is responsible for the supervision, coordination and
technical support of new construction, maintenance, repair, renovation, and
alteration required for the facilities to which they are assigned; to include utility and
mechanical systems as well as buildings and grounds. The Maintenance
Supervisor 2 will also be required to be perform skilled and semiskilled duties within the maintenance series. Incumbents of this position are considered essential personnel.
The position performs responsibilities in accordance with all current and amended,
DMNA policies and procedures, federal and state statutes, and where applicable,
the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and requirements of the National Guard
Bureau (NGB), specifically the Master Cooperative Agreement (MCA) and
supporting regulations. The Maintenance Supervisor 2 may report to state and/or
federal supervisory personnel, and in some cases may be responsible for multiple
facilities.
Specifically, duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
* Work comfortably in a team oriented atmosphere with civilian and military
personnel, as well as demonstrate independence and self-motivation.
* Communicate with staff and supervisors in a clear and concise manner.
* Responsible for overseeing work performed by contractors to include
monitoring and inspecting their work activities in order to ensure compliance
with contract specifications and plans.
* Plan, supervise and provide technical direction, hands on assistance and
instruction to subordinate staff.
* Provide assistance in the development of Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs) for specific locations and/or facilities.
* Provide input for the annual budget projections and project completions;
manage assigned maintenance funding.
* Administer purchasing requirements for assigned facilities in coordination with
DMNA Budget and Finance Purchasing Unit (MNBF).
* Reconcile all purchasing and travel records through the Statewide Financial
System (SFS).
* Utilize all computer software required for agency operations.
* Coordinate with State Human Resources (MNHS) regarding hiring, counseling,
discipline and other personnel related matters.
* Where applicable, coordinate non-military use contracts and activities with
DMNA Facilities and Engineering Directorate (MNFE) to ensure the proper
utilization of space and timely processing of agreements.
* Maintain a work order program in accordance with established policies.
* Review energy consumption at each facility and provide recommendation for
conservation upgrades or procedural changes.
* Performs general grounds maintenance tasks.
* Regularly attend meetings at various locations.
* Attends and completes additional training as required.
* Will be required to supervise staff.
* Periodic overtime may be required.
* Regular travel will be required using various modes of transportation to include
driving, trains, and air travel.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Three (3) years of full-time experience supervising workers in the maintenance and operation of a physical plant; or in building renovation or construction. *
AND
Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Must be able to work comfortably at heights such as climbing ladders, working on scaffolds, platforms and lifts.
Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry heavy objects and equipment (50+ lbs).
Must be able to work in confined spaces in accordance with requirements.

Required to have or successfully complete within 90 days of receiving computer access, all training associated with assigned data systems such as SFS, GFEBS and the Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS) and/or other computer training as related to duty assignments. Should related regulations, procedures and requirements change, additional training and/or certifications may be required.
In accordance with NGB standards, will be required to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation, and have an appropriate clearance to allow access to computer networks and restricted areas to determine suitability, loyalty, and trustworthiness. Maintenance Service Supervisor

The Maintenance Service Supervisor will assist the Vehicles and Facility Maintenance Manager in overseeing the maintenance and service program of a medium size transit fleet. The Maintenance Service Supervisor will supervise employees on assigned shifts; assist in maintaining parts inventory through parts distribution; and determine work priorities and work schedules for mechanics and bus handlers on assigned shifts. This position will oversee and monitor work to ensure quality and control measures of service performed and will provide leadership and direction to the lead mechanics, mechanics and bus handlers to ensure superior level of performance is met.
Essential Functions:
Oversees the activities of mechanics, bus handlers, and other maintenance department personnel, as assigned.

Ensures that work is completed in compliance with New York State and Federal regulations.
