Strong candidates for this position will meet the following expectations: An associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. The maintenance manager will have a minimum of 10 years combined experience in mechanical, electrical and facility maintenance. Previous leadership in heavy industry with history of an increasing level of responsibility; prior experience maintaining machine shop equipment (machine tools) including mills, lathes, grinders, etc. Basic computer skills MS Office required - prior CAD, PLC and other controls experience preferred. Continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and quality system experience preferred. Prior experience with Environmental Health & Safety practice in manufacturing setting preferred. Excellent interpersonal communications skills with shop-level through executive-level employees. Must be able to effectively lead multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of manufacturing processes required to build heavy steel equipment: fabrication, machining, and machine assembly. Must be able to lead group and individual meetings with effective agendas. Capable of handling difficult and stressful situations. Strong coaching skills to council direct reports. Problem analysis and solving skills that display an attention to detail and ability to find creative solutions. Excellent verbal and written skills. Job Overview As the hands-on Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of maintenance, across the entire site 24/7, in a large volume film manufacturing facility.
