Full time, 100% onsite and predominately early morning visits starting at 700AM, M-F. Anticipated working hours are 7AM-4PM. The CRC-Senior will oversee program-wide regulatory and operational needs across multiple supportive care research studies. In addition to contributing to projects employing qualitative methods, survey data, and clinical trial designs, the CRC-Senior will help develop and implement standard operating procedures, onboard and train junior clinical research coordinators (CRCs), and ensure high-quality study execution and compliance. This position is ideal for candidates with prior research experience who are ready to take on supervisory and program development responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Training Train, and mentor entry-level CRCs, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and best practices. Study Coordination Provide an extra layer of support in managing studies, including participant eligibility reviews, recruitment, informed consent, and coordination of study visits. Assist with data collection (surveys, interviews, chart reviews) and quality control checks, using REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) or other programs. Regulatory & Compliance Prepare and maintain Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, and adverse event reports. Ensure compliance with study protocols, Human Subjects and Good Clinical Practice guidelines, and institutional policies. Assist in coordinating Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) meetings. Update and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Program Development Assist in developing standard operating procedures and quality assurance systems. Contribute to creation of study templates and guidance for protocol design, database management, and grant submissions. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree required (health sciences, psychology, public health, nursing, or related field preferred) Minimum of 5 years of post-baccalaureate research experience in clinical trials or human subjects research, including direct experience with IRB/regulatory documentation. Skills & Competencies Ability to oversee, train and evaluate others effectively. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple investigators and teams. Prioritization of patient care tasks at hand and communication with health care team members is an important factor in performing the duties of this role. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Understands the importance and practice of Isolation/Precautions in patient care. •Maintains inventory level of specified stock items within the Operating Room according to established guidelines. •Responsible for assisting nursing staff in the rooms as needed and directed (i.e. turning, moving anesthetized patients, holding of extremities for surgical prep, gathering of equipment, etc.). •Performs between-case cleaning in order to minimize turnaround between surgical procedures. •Checks status of stretchers to assure they are ready and available when needed for patient transport.     The Boston Children's Hospital Dermatology Program provides care for children and adolescents with all forms of congenital and acquired disorders of the skin, nails, hair, and mucous membranes. The primary goal of the medical scribe is to reduce administrative burden on the physician, improve accuracy/timeliness of medical documentation, and optimize provider ability to spend more time interacting with patients. Key Responsibilities: * Accompany providers throughout the entire patient medical appointment, either virtually or on-site, ensuring presence in the visit is not disruptive. * Transcribe interactions during the appointment into a high-quality, comprehensive preliminary note for physician sign-off, which can include but is not limited to: * Patient history * Review of systems * Family/social histories * Medication listings * Allergies * Physical examination findings and procedures * Pertinent imaging/lab study results * Time * Treatment/follow-up plans. * Send all preliminary documentation for physician review promptly. * Make any necessary amendments/changes to approach based on physician feedback and regularly incorporate feedback provided into future notes to yield noticeable improvements. * Develop a close working relationship with providers pairings in-depth knowledge of their preferences. Incorporate these preferences into transcribed notes, maintain documentation of provider preference grids, and communicate with providers directly in the mode, frequency, and time they prefer. * Maintain a repository of historical/current physician templates/dot phrases; incorporating updates/changes as needed to ensure it is up-to-date and readily accessible. * Attend department meetings as needed or directed to optimize ability to stay up-to-date with initiatives that will improve physician workflows and implement changes as directed by administrative management. Communicate with administrative management and/or assigned physicians to troubleshoot any potential discrepancies. * Assist with other administrative clerical duties related to factors affecting physician clinics to improve physician workflow as assigned. Schedule will be Monday through Thursday 10 hours per day. Minimum Qualifications Education: * High School Diploma/GED required * Associate's degree in health science or another medical field preferred Experience: * Medical Terminology and Procedures: Understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnostic tests to accurately transcribe patient interactions. * Transcription: Ability to accurately transcribe patient interactions into comprehensive preliminary notes for physician review. * Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of transcribed notes, including patient history, medications, and examination findings. Licensure/ Certifications: * Certified Medical Scribe Professional CMSP Preferred The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. Job Summary The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Mass Eye and Ear (MEE) Ambulatory Infection Control & High-Level Disinfection/Sterilization (HLDS) Manager is a key leader within these academic medical centers, advancing a culture of safety through evidence-based infection prevention practices, high-reliability process oversight, and expert-level management of HLDS standards. This individual serves as a strategic partner across clinical and operational teams-bridging performance improvement with regulatory excellence, surveillance science, and frontline education. In addition to primary and specialty outpatient clinics, the ambulatory areas of these facilities include large community health centers, ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs), and multiple Mass General Brigham (MGB) Cancer Institute locations, with the clinical profile of these areas including an ever-growing array of numerous, complex procedures. Reporting to the MGH-MEE Senior Manager of Infection Control , the manager oversees site-specific infection prevention programs, ensures rigorous compliance with HLDS requirements, and helps shape institutional policy, training, and safety initiatives to safeguard patients, staff, and the academic mission. Essential Functions Infection Prevention & Program Leadership * Leads and coordinates the MGH and MEE Ambulatory Infection Control program, ensuring alignment with academic medical center standards, research demands, and teaching priorities. * Develops, implements, and evaluates the program, with special emphasis on HLDS and device reprocessing. * Conducts needs and risk assessments and to support infection control at MGH and MEE ambulatory sites, including ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs). * Implements systemwide infection prevention and HLDS goals at the site level, ensuring adherence to clinical, administrative, and regulatory requirements. HLDS Oversight * Oversees and evaluates compliance with HLDS policies, procedures, competencies, and quality monitoring across departments. * Partners with the Central Sterile Processing and Supply (CSPS) department, procedural areas, and clinical leadership to ensure safe, consistent device reprocessing practices. * Supports readiness for inspections, accreditation surveys, and regulatory reviews related to infection prevention and HLDS. * Leads performance improvement initiatives aimed at reducing reprocessing failures and improving workflow, traceability, and safety culture. Surveillance, Reporting & Outbreak Response * Ensures comprehensive surveillance, remediation, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections, including outbreak detection and response. * Supports reporting of communicable disease cases to appropriate public health authorities. * Serves as liaison between the site and regulatory/public health agencies, representing the organization on external committees when needed. Education, Training & Stakeholder Collaboration * Plans and delivers site-specific education on infection prevention, HLD standards, and device reprocessing best practices. * Collaborates with Occupational Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Compliance, Sterile Processing, and clinical departments to mitigate infection risks. * Drives culture-building initiatives to enhance frontline adherence to infection prevention and HLDS protocols. Leadership & Operational Excellence * Supervises ambulatory and HLDS-focused infection preventionists, assigning work, coaching, monitoring progress, and developing team competencies. * Organizes and manages site-specific staffing and workflows to ensure productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. * Ensures adherence to allocated funding and resource utilization. Qualifications Education * Bachelor's Degree Health Sciences required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred Licenses and Credentials * Registered Nurse preferred * Certification in Infection Prevention and Control [CIC] required * Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology preferred * HLD/S-related training or certification highly desirable (e.g., CBSPD, IAHCSMM/ISHM, reprocessing competencies) Experience * Three to Five years of experience applying infection prevention and epidemiology programs * One to Two years of Supervisory/Leadership experience in a healthcare system or hospital required * Experience in an academic medical center with expertise in ambulatory infection control and HLDS strongly preferred. * Proficiency with regulatory agencies and requirements (CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA), NHSN surveillance, and quality metrics (Vizient, Leapfrog, CMS).
