The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Division of Hematology/Oncology currently seeks applications from board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine or hematologists/ oncologists for a faculty position emphasizing clinical care for hospitalized oncology patients. The selected applicant will join a highly functioning, successful inpatient team of nurse practitioners, resident trainees, and oncologists at MGH. Ideal applicants will have a strong foundation in hospital medicine and interest in developing expertise in managing oncology patients.
This role is a 12-hour shift responding clinician hospitalist role covering both malignant hematology and solid tumor patients. We are seeking predominantly night coverage, though some day shifts will also be available. FTE can be tailored to the individual with the full-time nocturnist schedule consisting of 144 shifts per year. Our mission as an inpatient service is to provide comprehensive care to our patients and families, in order to meet their needs, as well as those of our interdisciplinary care providers. The inpatient team ensures the care is high quality and patient centered and collaborates to the highest degree while producing an evidence base to make that health care environment safer, higher quality, and more affordable. The position will protect time for academic pursuits.
Appointment as an Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, full or part time, at the Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Responsibilities

This role will work with families of pediatric patients who have screened positive for SDH needs. The Medicaid ACO and iCMP resource navigation teams have recently merged to build on best practices to advance health equity, improve health outcomes, and promote well-being of our MGH Primary care patients by addressing health-related social needs, system navigation, and care coordination as standard of care. The role collaborates to enhance the delivery of patient care services along the continuum of care bridging communication about patient social needs and resources available to them back to the clinical team. This position involves problem solving to ensure each unique patient is evaluated for their unique abilities and capacity in addition to their identified SDH needs.

Urgent care, sometimes known as walk-in care, fast care, or express care, is a convenient option for patients who require timely medical care, but the situation is not an emergency. We treat adults and children ages 3 and older and provide care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries.
We are seeking a part-time, 25-hour per week Clinic/Practice Assistant to join our Urgent Care team in Newton! The weekly schedule consists of 2, 12.5-hour shifts onsite at the center located at 71 Needham Street in Newton, MA. Since Urgent Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays, the schedule for this role will require 1 on-call shift per 4-week scheduling period, weekend, holiday coverage and the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
We do our best to keep all employees at their assigned centers; however, for on-call shifts, employees must be able to commute to any of our locations, including Boston Common, Brookline, Natick, Newton, Westwood, Woburn and Lynn. You may also be asked to report to any of these centers during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).

Research Community Health Worker (CHW): The Disparities Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking Research Community Health Workers to be trained to offer interventions through clinical sites in socially vulnerable communities. Interventions will focus on mental health, obesity/weight management, and cancer screening and are part of a large, multisite grant. CHWs will receive formal training in their intervention of focus. They will conduct group and/or individual sessions with enrolled patients, maintain post-session notes, and conduct careful tracking of intervention sessions. Sessions may be held by zoom or in person, and will be audio recorded for quality control. CHWs will take part in weekly supervision with licensed providers to receive input and coaching support. Community Health Workers may also be trained to conduct outreach to potential participants, and to invite them to be screened to take part. The NMT is responsible for the delivery of safe and effective imaging procedures, participation in departmental education programs, participation in organizational and departmental goals and priorities and active involvement in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) activities. Each NMT position requires a close working relationship with Imaging professional, nursing, and technical staff, as well as with providers, investigators, and their staff. The NMT will work to create and sustain a culture that fosters excellence, impact, and discovery of innovative and novel approaches towards the eradication of cancer and related diseases.

1. Adheres to established departmental policies and procedures; fosters communication and collaboration among the clinical, technical and support staff; ensures that business and patient information is properly handled according to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines.

Maintains and ensures patient, staff and environmental safety; maintains proper infection control; maintains orderliness and cleanliness in the workplace and self; demonstrates an understanding of all radiation safety issues (e.g., Image Gently, Image Wisely, etc.) and follow radiation safety procedures to ensure patient safety.

Communicates relevant information in a compassionate and professional manner to patients undergoing procedures, ensures that all patients have a thorough understanding of the procedures to be performed, assist with various operational duties such as monitoring patient flow while utilizing the scheduling and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Manager/Supervisor, the NMT performs all technical procedures (including general nuclear medicine, PET/CT, and radionuclide therapy procedures) in Nuclear Medicine obtaining high quality patient scans and delivering high quality care; is involved with and performs all technical protocol duties as required for departmental research; establishes intravenous access; receives, dispenses, administers, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals and imaging contrast agents in accordance with applicable regulatory accreditation (e.g., ACR) and as directed by protocol under the supervision of the nuclear medicine physician and/or radiologist; ensures that all imaging systems and equipment operate at levels of accepted standards and are properly maintained, and if necessary takes corrective action; performs required quality control on all imaging equipment and devices; performs computer acquisitions and analysis as required; manages imaging datasets (e.g., transfer, archive, and retrieval); maintains all necessary records and reports in a correct, timely, and efficient manner.
6. Participates in the orientation, training and sharing best practices to new technologist staff as well as serving as a resource to assist in the onboarding of other staff such as Program Administrators, Fellows, Residents, and other imaging staff.
7. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as directed.
