School Description Wildwood School is currently seeking a dynamic educator who is interested in and responsive to an evolving and innovative educational environment. Position Description The current opening for a middle school Spanish teacher calls for an educator interested and experienced in teaching the acquisition of Spanish speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills at the middle school level. This full-time position is for: One section of Spanish 6 (four quarter-long rotations for sixth graders), Up to three sections of Spanish A (the 7th-grade Spanish course), AND One section of middle school advisory (grade to be determined) with up to 14 advisees A note about advisory: This comprehensive program is a hallmark of a Wildwood education from grades 5 through 12. Advisors serve on a team with other advisors in the same grade level and travel together as a cohort with the same group of single-aged advisees until 8th grade, with the presentation of a Gateway. We are looking for experienced educators who have a passion for teaching! For over 21 years, the Pasadena Educational Foundation's Summer Enrichment Program has mixed academic subjects with hands-on exploration to help prepare students for the upcoming school year. Our 5-week morning program has 2 formats. Younger students (TK - 2nd grade) will spend the entire morning program in one self-contained/intro classroom. Older students (grades 2 and up) typically split their morning schedule into 3 blocks. Each block is a little over an hour long and has a different group of students. Its high schools include Arroyo, El Monte, Mountain View, Rosemead, South El Monte and Fernando R. Ledesma High School. EMUHSD also features the El Monte-Rosemead Adult School, one of California's largest and most respected adult programs.
