The Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning troubleshoots and repairs air handling units, dx, chilled water, hot water, humidifier systems, variable air volume boxes and all associated electric, pneumatic and direct digital controls. Additional responsibilities include servicing and maintaining both reciprocating and screw chillers, environmental test chambers as well as kitchen refrigeration equipment, custom automotive test cells, paint booths and building automation system (BAS). The Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning must hold such licenses as the laws of the community require. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) Eight (8) years of documented experience or a U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as a Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in a Manufacturing Environment Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications Ability and knowledge in brazing and soldering Ability and knowledge to clean, lubricate, or adjust parts and equipment Ability and knowledge to troubleshoot electrical controls, pneumatic controls, direct digital controls (DDC), and mechanical refrigeration components.
