TEKsystems has a client that is looking for a Cisco Network Administrator for Global layer 2 and layer 3 LAN and WAN across numerous technologies. Candidates have to be experts in Cisco Troubleshooting and supporting a global complex environment. They will be required to be on-call rotation, participate in high exposure incidents and be able to handle themselves under pressure. They will be working with routers and switching for all configurations, implementations, upgrades and anything else related to supporting a global network. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct business development and provide technical sales support for Kendall's Datacom Portfolio. This portfolio includes Industrial and Enterprise Network Infrastructure products offered by partnering manufacturers and sold by Kendall Electric. The Network Specialist is responsible for pre and after-sale support of these products, and design, as well as competency development for our inside and outside sales teams. Exciting work you will do: The essential duties and responsibilities of a Network Specialist will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensure a consistent level of business development and support for Kendall account managers and customers within the region
Be a single point of contact to partnering manufacturers for the Datacom product lines within the region and be a lead advocate for the portfolio
Actively call on our datacom contractor customers to build relationships and grow datacom business
Maintain an extensive understanding of Kendall's Datacom networking products offered and the applicable industry standards associated with those products
Lead the inventory needs for datacom business in region
Lead commercial activity and conversations at key accounts
Work with outside sales to create and maintain a robust sales funnel
Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:
Work Experience: 3 years' of experience in the Datacom Technology field
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Analytics/Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, business acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking, analytical skills; demonstrated knowledge of the Datacom & Industrial Networking space and its standards
Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, and continuously evolving environment

Responsible for mentoring and fostering the overall development of the Network Systems and Helpdesk employees, including; selection and hiring, training and ongoing development, coaching, and promotion and performance evaluation.

Oversees periodic audits of software and network system usage and connections to ensure compliance with the company's Safeguarding Member Information Standards and Procedures, company policies and to guard against unauthorized users and to prevent the introduction of any undesirable or destructive software.
Provides guidance and direction to other management and staff for special system capabilities or problems and resolutions.
Determines action for any system problem, hardware problem, or usage problem whereby the integrity of the credit union networks or systems could be compromised.
Leads the ongoing development and testing of Network Systems disaster recovery.
Ensures critical operations and data files are backed up and stored off-site.
Leads in the development of the operating budget for the Network Systems team.
Coordinates all scheduling of vacation, other time off, and training for team employees. Also approves employee's time cards.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Must be able to communicate with members, staff, and individuals in the community in a professional manner. This will require excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills along with the ability to present and explain information effectively for non-technically inclined individuals.
A bachelor's degree or actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science or a technology or business related field at an accredited college or university.
Must have proven project management skills with projects of varying complexity and experience.
Must be able to attend conferences, seminars, and training sessions out of the area.
Experience in drafting a Request for Proposal (RFP) is helpful.
Strong knowledge of Cisco Systems equipment, network design, network protocol analysis, telecommunications design and analysis, and Microsoft Active Directory.
Work requires the ability to understand complex computer and network system operations. This understanding involves the computer operating systems as well as numerous user programs and applications.
Requires an analytical mind and problem solving skills.
Multi-task orientation to handle and manage a number of projects at once while remaining flexible to changing requirements and priorities.
Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner and collaborate effectively in teams with all levels of the organization.
