We are currently seeking House Parents to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct care services and creating a home-like environment for children in need.
Single House Parent/Residential Direct Care Specialists play an instrumental role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for children who need a safe place to call home. You will work directly with children to provide support, guidance, and positive reinforcement, helping children with daily tasks and activities, and creating a sense of family within your home.
Please Note: This position is based at our main campus in Boys Ranch, Texas, located approximately 40 miles northwest of Amarillo. Applicants from across the country are welcome to apply, but relocation to Boys Ranch is required.
Responsibilities
Live in your assigned cottage, helping to care for and provide for up to eight children.
Teach and lead cottage rules and daily routines.
Provide encouragement, guidance, and counseling to residents.
Participate in educational and recreational activities with the youth.
Ensure that all children's physical needs (food, shelter, etc.) are met.
Help children build self-esteem and gain skills to overcome difficult situations.
Act as a positive role model to youth by demonstrating appropriate behaviors and attitudes towards others.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in child care or related field is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Must possess a valid driver's license.

Position Overview
The Festival Director will be responsible for conceiving, planning, executing, and evaluating the signature festival (and related events) of ACOKC. This role leads all aspects of the festival lifecycle - programming, operations, logistics, marketing, partnerships, budget, vendor/artist relations, staffing/volunteers, and post-event analysis. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong event management experience, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for arts and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the overall vision and strategy for the festival, aligning it with the mission and goals of ACOKC.
· Develop, manage, and monitor the festival budget (including revenue forecasts, expense tracking, vendor payments).
· Collaborate with the marketing/communications team to promote the festival: branding, messaging, website, social media, press, community outreach.
· Secure and manage sponsorships, grants, partnerships, and vendor/artist contracts. Build and maintain relationships with artists, performers, vendors, sponsors, local businesses, community groups, and city departments.
· Oversee scheduling and programming: curated arts, coordinate artist contracts, performance logistics, and technical/production needs.
· Lead operations and logistics: site planning, permits/licensing, vendor layout, vendor relations, safety/security, volunteer management, hospitality, on-site staff scheduling.
· Manage staffing of the festival: hire/manage festival staff, recruit/train/coordinate volunteers, specify roles and responsibilities, ensure strong customer service and attendee experience. Oversee 28 committees responsible for the recruitment of 2,500 volunteers.
· Ensure accessibility, inclusivity, and engagement of underserved communities, aligning with ACOKC's mission of participation in the arts for all.
Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant local regulations (permits, insurance, health & safety, ADA/accessibility, vendor/contractor requirements).
Post-event evaluation: collect data, feedback, metrics (attendance, financials, vendor/artist satisfaction, press coverage), prepare reports and recommendations for improvement.
Work proactively with the Executive Director and Board on long-term festival strategy, growth opportunities, innovation, risk management, and sustainability.
Represent ACOKC and the festival in public: events, meetings, media engagements, and community forums.
Assist the Executive Director in the maintenance of ACOKC buildings.
Maintain Festival inventory and ACOKC production inventory.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
· Bachelor's degree - (Arts Administration, Event Management, Business, Marketing, or Related Field)
· 5 + Years of progressive event management or festival director-level experience, preferably within arts/non-profit/cultural organizations.
Project & Program Management
Demonstrate experience with large-scale, multi-day public events.
Strong budgeting and financial management skills: comfortable managing complex budgets, revenue streams, and expense forecasting.
Strategic thinker with close attention to detail and strong organization skills; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Community & Partnership Aptitude
· Proven ability to secure sponsorships, partnerships, and develop funding relationships
· Easily builds strong working relationships, with the ability to recruit and manage volunteers successfully.
· Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
Communication Skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication.
Public-facing presence required.
Knowledge of Excel, Google Suite, Adobe, Canva, and Microsoft Office.

Overview and Responsibilities The Alzheimer s disease research community at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is seeking a Research Project Manager to coordinate a large, multi-year project across multiple labs. This position is associated with the newly created Rita Walker Alzheimer s Research Fund, and while the initial position will be for two years, opportunities may exist to extend this position into a longer-term role.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic leader at the center of the management of a multi-laboratory research effort and include the following responsibilities:
Coordinate project activities and budget allocations across multiple laboratories and experimental endpoints.
Act as a liaison between Project Leaders, Co-Investigator PIs, and project staff.
Modify, develop, maintain and improve research project procedures and/or protocols.
Supervise the development and maintenance of mouse Alzheimer s disease lines and ensure that animal numbers and ages are sufficient to achieve experimental outcomes in multiple labs.
Create and maintain inventories and databases of cells, tissues, research samples, and reagents
Write and submit safety and animal use protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance to these protocols across multiple laboratories.
Help set, assess and report on project progress and milestones.
Plan and coordinate team meetings and updates.
Identify, prepare and perform a limited number of specialized, complex research experiments, analyze data and present results to Project Leaders.
Assist with preparation of research results for publications, grants, and presentations.
Order project supplies and equipment.
Maintain written and/or computer-based records in an appropriate manner of all tasks performed.
Work with Project Leaders, PIs, and Human Resources to resolve conflicts that may arise.
Perform other duties as assigned by Project Leaders.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in one of the biological sciences, chemistry, physics, psychology or related area and a minimum of ten (10) years relevant research experience in a neuroscience or neurodegeneration-related field.
High skill in multi-tasking, thinking, working independently, and functioning effectively as a team member.
Ability to perform a broad range of assignments with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness, and effectiveness. Careful with details and thorough in completing work tasks and reports. Capable of handling complex projects, assignments, and assuming responsibly.
Ability to take initiative in developing new methods, procedures, and approaches to project procedures and protocols. Makes frequent and valuable suggestions to improve efficiency and scientific rigor.
Successfully prioritizes when faced with requests, demands, and deadlines. Performs effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities. Keeps calm and professional under stressful situations. Excels in anticipating approaching problems and opportunities. Displays leadership traits appropriate to the situation.
