The position encompasses dual responsibilities, serving as an Industrial and Personnel Security Specialist tasked with overseeing all facets of security related to personnel clearances, program protection, and adherence to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Department of Defense (DoD) policies, and relevant customer requirements. This role is critical in protecting classified information and upholding our trusted partnerships with U.S. Government agencies and contractors. Review security forms (SF-86, SF-312) for accuracy and completeness, initiates follow up actions, as necessary. Implement and oversee compliance with the NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07, ICDs, and other applicable regulations. Manage and process personnel security clearances (initials, upgrades, periodic reinvestigations, etc.). Maintain clearance records in DISS and other security tracking systems. Conduct initial security briefings, refresher training, and debriefings. Serve as the liaison with government security representatives (e.g., DCSA, PSOs, ISRs). Monitor reinvestigation requirements and manage clearance renewals. Initiate track program access and associated paperwork. Identify and report potential security risks, insider threat concerns, or policy violations. Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reporting. Provide initial and recurring security briefings, debriefings, and training to program staff. Prepare for and conduct self-inspections, as well as coordinate with government inspections and audits. Investigate, document, and report all security violations and incidents in accordance with DoD requirements. Develop, maintain, and implement security policies, procedures, and standard operating instructions (SOIs). Process visits requests and access authorizations. Travel up to 10% to other AST sites Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field. Relevant experience leading and executing security processes and projects within special program access and collateral environments. Experience in industrial security, preferably in an FSO/CPSO or Personnel Security role.
