The IT Support Specialist role involves providing end-user desktop support both remotely and in-person, handling Tier (1-2) support tickets, and working on technology implementation projects. Key Duties Create, review and triage support Tier (1-2) tickets on a timely basis Project work related to the implementation of new technology tools. Provide end-user desktop support via remote support tools or in person visits Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and effectively with users to understand their issues, provide updates on ticket status, and verify their concerns are addressed promptly. Install and configure new computers, monitors, and printers. As a trusted advisor to STERIS Customers, you'll deliver hands-on decontamination services and light maintenance on complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic equipment in fast-paced healthcare settings. A Day in the Life You begin the day by confirming your route and loading your company van (which you keep at home) with the right chemicals, tools, and PPE. On arrival, you brief the Customer on the cleaning plan, then: Perform chamber cleaning, including changing chemical ingredients, making proper chemical adjustments, and monitoring cycle parameters to maintain correct pressures. Inspect and maintain the chamber cleaning equipment; make minor repairs and escalate issues as needed for safe, effective operation. Handle, transport, and dispose of chemicals in strict accordance with safety protocols. Document all work using your company-issued smartphone and laptop; submit reports and updates promptly. Throughout the day you communicate proactively with Customers, Field Service partners, and the contract administration team-raising concerns, sharing updates, and identifying service enhancements.
