Minimum Qualifications Minimum age of 16 years. Certification in Ellis and Associates International Lifeguard Training Program (ILTP), Healthcare Provider Basic Lifesaving Support, and Standard First Aid. Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the staff. Ability to learn the operation of the facility. Demonstrated supervisory and teaching skills. Knowledge of pool mechanical equipment and related materials. Ability to make minor repairs on pool equipment as needed. Ability to gain a working knowledge of NOVA Parks, its history, organization, rules and regulations. Availability to work additional hours during peak operating season. Working knowledge of computers. Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays. Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.
