The Armed Security Officer position is responsible for protecting personnel, assets, and interests throughout the Company's footprint. This position employs armed physical security tactics, screenings, highly technical security event monitoring and security event response.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's/associate degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Training certification reflecting their knowledge of the business practices required by the industry standards.
Must be available to work shift work, holidays, overtime, during inclement weather, call out and able to work at designated Company location
Minimum 1 year of Law enforcement, military, private or industrial security experience required
Must pass the following job prerequisites: psychological test, drug test, firearms evaluation, and Insider Threat Program (for designated security positions).
Must qualify for firearm use and successfully re-qualify annually with the semi-auto pistol and/or shotgun/rifle.
Must qualify for and obtain a valid state firearm permit and driver's license.
Successful annual qualification with all companies issued firearms is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

City Walk BHAM spans 10 city blocks, from 15th St N to 25th St N - almost a mile in length. The entire area encompasses 31 acres, which will provide a space to assist in connecting Birmingham.
Summary/Objective The Public Safety Ambassador at CityWalk BHM (CWB), will play a vital role in maintaining safety and security within CityWalk at the BJCC by patrolling the area in a visible manner, protecting and preserving the environment within CWB by enforcing rules, educating visitors, conducting patrols, providing visitor services like tours and information, and responding to emergencies, all while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of CWB guests; essentially acting as a steward of CWB and a frontline representative to the public.

Observe and report property activity, utilize incident report to document use of force, law enforcement activity, guest injury, and property damage
Maintain a daily activity report which documents patrol, guest communication, property violations, safety concerns, light survey, vacancy inspections, and additional information
Receive calls from management related to changes in operations, service, or general communication
Sweep, mop or vacuum floors on an ongoing basis
Read and follow all security procedures and protocols at all times
Attend all required continued training
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Able to obtain a valid security license in applicable jurisdictions
Able to obtain a security belt, handcuffs, flashlight, and pepper spray
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years' experience in security strongly preferred
Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
Bending, lifting, and carrying up to 40 pounds
Constant face-to-face interactions with customers
Ability to multi-task and remain positive in busy working conditions
Schedule flexibility including nights and weekends
Comply with the brand and Company uniform and hygiene policies
