    Description & Details: Research and Creative Activity (RCA) provides oversight of research and creative activity functions and handles administrative issues that pertain to NDSU research. The Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) office is the central administrative support office within RCA for external funding for research and scholarly activity on campus. SPA is responsible for administering research-related policies, procedures, and coordination of research-related services. The office provides services for university personnel conducting or seeking to conduct research or other scholarly activity using external funds. SPA also generates reports regarding research metrics and externally funded scholarly activities across the university. The primary purposes of this position revolve around shared responsibility for proposal review and approval, as well as award receipt, review, and negotiation. This position will work with post-award matters including contractual amendments/modifications, and as a secondary purpose work with subaward functions. This position also provides back-up support to Department Leadership, and the Award & Budget Officer, as needed. Highlighted Responsibilities: Award tasks: * Manage receipt and intake of award documents, completing sponsor required forms as necessary * Negotiate and provide University signature approval of awards from external sponsors * Draft, negotiate and provide signature approval on subawards to external partners * Work with award sponsors on amendments/modifications Proposal tasks: * Review & provide University signature approval of proposals to external sponsors * Work with campus constituents on proposal issues * Provide backup for proposal budget review, approval, & electronic submissions Other tasks: * Coordinate SPA contributions to Unit newsletter and SPA website. * Provide back-up to Department Leadership. Work Schedule: 40 hours/week (M-F: regular hours 8am-5pm, summer/winter break hours 7:30am-4pm) Hiring Range: $57,500/year+, commensurate with experience.
