DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding people and property while enforcing Commonwealth and facility regulations related to hospital operations. You will conduct mobile and foot patrols and monitor security systems and cameras throughout the facility to maintain law and order. Duties include preventing and detecting crimes, as well as investigating complaints and writing incident reports for security violations. You will assist in investigations, respond promptly to emergencies, and help manage or resolve critical situations. Additionally, you will perform safety patrols and inspections to identify fire or safety hazards that could threaten people or property. You will also oversee operations in the communications and dispatch center and use computer systems to manage access for employees and visitors.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will have every other weekend off and work rotating holidays.
Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
Travel and overtime: As needed
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Flexible availability for shifts that vary by client needs
All candidates must pass a mandatory background check
Required to attend an in-person orientation prior to being scheduled for any shifts
Military veterans and active duty members receive an additional $0.25/hour bonus
Compensation
Starting Pay: Based on each client contract and will vary by site
Overtime: Paid for any hours over 40 hours per week, weighted according to applicable law
Full-Time (30+ hours/ week): Part-Time (16-29 hours/week):
Paid Time Off: 24 hours earned after probationary period is satisfied

Your Responsibilities:
* Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and visitors.
* Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and complete accurate daily activity reports.
* Observe, survey, and report on activities at your assigned post.
* Respond quickly and appropriately to critical incidents and emergencies.
What We're Looking For:
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
* Authorized to work in the United States.
* Strong, stable work history.
* Must pass a drug test and background screening.
* Prior experience in security, military, corrections, or law enforcement is a plus.

* Reliable transportation required.
