The ideal candidate will understand how documents are altered, the markers and indicators of fraudulent documents, and emerging fraud patterns and techniques. This position will play a key role in supporting eligibility processing for individuals seeking access to the Federal Healthcare Insurance Marketplace under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), ensuring integrity and trust in the verification process.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary expert on document fraud detection, including physical and digital document analysis
Evaluate and recommend fraud detection software tools based on use case requirements
Lead the development of strategies for detecting altered, forged, or counterfeit documents
Collaborate with solution architects, software development, operations, security and product teams to integrate fraud detection capabilities into enterprise systems
Contribute to the design of scalable, secure, and automated fraud detection workflows within cloud environments (preferably AWS)
Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives across teams
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Forensics, Cybersecurity, or related field
10-12 years of relevant experience
Proven experience in document fraud detection, forensic document examination, or identity verification technologies
Familiarity with fraud detection software platforms and AI/ML-based document analysis tools
Demonstrated experience applying advanced techniques to assess document integrity, verify identity attributes, and detect inconsistencies or irregularities across diverse document types
Experience working with government-trusted sources of identity data and official document standards, including collaboration with federal or state agencies
Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, government, finance)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into strategic insights
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Forensics, Cybersecurity, or related field
Certifications in fraud examination, digital forensics, or identity verification is a plus
