Job Summary
We're looking for an OSP fiber splicer with two years of field experience preferred. Your days will include installing and organizing splice closures, making clean splices, running OTDR and power meter tests, tracking down issues in the field, and documenting work so the next person can pick up where you left off.
You'll help set the plan for the day, keep the job site safe and organized, and make sure the splicing trailer, tools, and equipment are in good shape. This role is hands-on and field-based - weather, dirt, long days, and problem-solving are part of the job.
And while splicing is your main skill, we're a small, tight crew. When something needs to get done - trenching, vault setting, pulling in a drop, helping the operator - everyone steps in. That teamwork is a big part of who we are at Montana Internet.

Key Responsibilities
Operation of electronic fusion splicing and testing equipment, including the use of all related fiber splicing hand tools.
Read and interpret fiber splicing diagrams, prints, specifications, work scopes, and fiber optic color code charts.
Install fiber closures, terminations, connectors, patch panels, and related materials.
Mounting FTPs and splicing cabinets.
Updating maps, polygons, and other related design platform functions in systems like Google Earth, Vetro Fiber Maps, etc.
Utilize internal ticketing and work order systems to update customer-side statuses, tasks, etc. We utilize Zendesk, Google Calendar, and several proprietary back-office systems to facilitate this work.
Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR.
Complete weekly time sheets and production reports.
Participate, adhere to, and support all safety related policies, processes, and programs. Engage with your work team to ensure we achieve zero injuries. Understand that no job is so important that your safety, the safety of your crew, or public safety will be compromised. Watch for hazards and report any concerns to your supervisor or safety professional. If needed, use your stop work authority until the issue is resolved.
Report all accidents and near misses to the supervisor; participate in the investigation process as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
At least two years of experience working as a OSP fiber splicer or a combination of work experience and training, and a working knowledge of fiber optic networks. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to drive a pick-up and trailer combination and maneuver it safely, including backing it up. Must be able to travel between remote site locations. The position may require the passing of a pre-employment drug test.

Job Description
A full time position that reports directly to the Regional Property Manager. The job includes, but is not limited to, janitorial tasks, preventative maintenance, repairs, and apartment turnovers. Technical expertise in one or more building trades required. As a part of the on-site team, ensure a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard free environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES -
1. Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Cleans up after work is complete.
2. Performs repairs on the property, including painting, carpentry or wall repair, and minor plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, heating, etc.
3. Cleans all units during turnover process as directed by the Regional Property Manager.
4. Maintains grounds and common areas, including lawns and flowerbeds, shrubbery, parking areas, trash pickup.
5. Provides on-call maintenance service as directed by the Area Manager. Responds to emergencies as instructed and completes incident/accident reports related to emergency or incident.
6. Sets up conference room and community space as needed. (If applicable)
7. Maintains property maintenance logs and inventory of supplies and equipment.
8. Advises the Regional Property Manager on the overall condition of the property.
9. Responsible for overall physical condition of property.
10. Follow through with 504 Self Evaluation repairs and maintenance.
11. Complete Purchase Order for Request, code invoices in a timely and accurate manor for approval.

Job Summary
Splicing large & small count Fiber Cables Mid Sheath Cuts.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Utilize proper techniques to splice fiber optic cable.
Prep/Splice single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) optical fiber cables
Troubleshooting of fiber utilizing an OTDR.
Strong communication skills are required between the splicer and tech ops manager to address problems as soon as possible.
Proper record keeping and be able to review cable records as necessary.
Knowledge, understanding, and practice of safety regulations within OSHA, NESC, NEC, and other construction-related guidelines.
Maintain equipment and vehicle to a high standard.
Work indoors and outdoors as needed.
Iterate to the project/construction managers detailed accounts of field activity, both verbal and written.
Coordinate with tech ops managers to verify and perform work as directed.
Night work as needed for things like node splits.
Able to be on call for emergencies involving damaged cables.
Must know ribbon fiber.
Must know fiber to the home.
