Job Description What You'll Do: * Assist in the performance of acceptance and installation tests on protection, control, and measurement devices and associated equipment in stations. * Assist in the installation, maintenance, and operation of all power line carriers, station SCADA, and associated communications equipment or cables as assigned. * Perform switching under direct supervision of qualified personnel following direction of the proper operating authority. * Assist in the installation, maintenance, and operation of any new and added equipment or systems as assigned. * Maintain test equipment and automotive equipment in good working order so that work can be performed safely and efficiently anywhere throughout the System. * Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports and drawings as required. * Assist employees of equal or higher classification. * Perform all duties in accordance with the Company's safety rules and operating regulations, NERC and environmental compliance, and practices. * Perform similar or less skilled work as assigned * Test protection &control devices and equipment periodically and as required. * Calibrate protection & control devices and equipment on a pre-established schedule and as required. * Assist with diagnosis of trouble, mis-operation, or damage of equipment and assist with corrective action to affect repair and prevent recurrence. * Operate a computer device to test, calibrate, and retrieve data from protection & control and devices. Gas Technician III's for Maintenance and Operation are responsible for the construction, maintenance, and operations of the City's gas distribution system. As Foreman, supervise a crew that constructs and installs gas mains which involve pipe fitting, welding, making taps, installing services, making repairs, fusion of poly pipe, constructing off- sets and any other related work as required such as responding to gas emergencies. Responsibilities * Use small hand tools, tapping, and stopple equipment * Perform semi-skilled and common labor work such as paint and/or wrap pipe, cutting and threading pipe, pipe-fitting, and assisting in other pipeline maintenance as required * Operate backhoe, trenching machine, and other semi-heavy maintenance and construction equipment * Inspect equipment and make adjustments and minor repairs to maintain equipment in proper operating condition * Perform the planning and supervision of work crew * Review and monitor work progress of crew ensuring work is being conducted in accordance with company procedures * Perform plastic pipe fusion with the use of poly fusion and electro fusion equipment and operates line locating equipment and volt meters for taking pipe-to-soil potentials * Perform intensive manual labor tasks including digging and backfilling ditches, installing pipe, shoveling up to 15 pounds of weight, standing/walking up to 5 hours at a time, continuous bending, stooping and climbing out of ditches * Install or repair mains, services, and meter loops. Removes and/or exchanges gas meters as part of maintenance work tasks. Check for stopped meters and houseline pressures using water manometer * Serve as primary welder involved in the construction and maintenance of gas distribution facilities by performing pipe fitting and welding. Weld stopple fittings on gas mains and operate stopple equipment * Perform clerical tasks such as completing required forms used to document inspections from work orders. Under the supervision of the operations leadership, Service Technicians will be held to a high standard of service. ICEE has a commitment to success: to our customers, partners, and team members. Service Technicians are required to service all ICEE and restaurant equipment including Frozen Carbonated and Non-Carbonated dispensers, fountain beverage equipment, ice makers, juice dispensers, etc. Service Technicians will work with minimal supervision and are required to attend weekly meetings held in their Service Center. Team members in this role are provided with a vehicle, uniforms, tools, cell phone, tablet, and gas card. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Receives dispatched service calls as assigned and ensures a prompt response based on estimated time of arrival (ETA). Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots or diagnoses service problems, and completes repairs as needed. Checks quality of all products i.e.: checking syrup levels, changing out flavors, cleaning around machines, etc. Maintains inventory and maintenance on equipment such as: parts, tools, and the company vehicle. Reviews service orders and service performed with the respective supervisor. Keeps his/her supervisor informed of customer concerns, needs, and up-selling opportunities. Documents all work performed and closes out all activities upon completion. Clearly communicates with both customers and co-workers. Performs assigned general warehouse duties including but not limited to cleaning, organizing, rotating product, shipping and receiving of equipment, parts, and product. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor. ICEE ACADEMY: The ICEE Academy Training program provides essential technical training in equipment, service, and repair, typically held at the ICEE Academy in La Vergne, TN, or other designated locations. Training generally lasts two weeks, with possible weekend sessions. Attendance and eligibility are determined based on role, performance metrics, and certifications. Successful completion is required for continued employment, and failure to meet training standards may result in reassignment or termination.
