Randolph-Macon College is seeking a Merchandising and Sales Floor Lead to join the Campus Store team. Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Operations, this position supports the daily operations of the Campus Store ensuring the sales floor is stocked, organized, and customer ready. The Merchandising and Sales Floor Lead oversees the flow of merchandise from storage to the sales floor and maintains clear, efficient systems for labeling, tracking, and restocking products.
Responsibilities
Manages the merchandise flow from storage units to the sales floor while maintaining clear structure and accurate organization
Assists with receiving and inspecting new merchandise and, in collaboration with team members, maintaining the sales floor by designing, creating, and rotating displays to feature specific merchandise and/or to reflect the marketing plan for a particular season
Utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system and operating procedures to reconcile daily transactions and prepare daily sales reports
Handles register duties, greets customers, and maintains strong customer service standards throughout the store
Provides direct support during events, rush weeks, and seasonal shifts to ensure merchandise presentation, restocking schedules, and customer flow all remain strong
Works with the Assistant Manager of Operations on daily priorities and staffing needs, and trains and supervises student employees
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
1-2 years of experience in retail sales and merchandising required
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in working with computer and POS systems
Must be detail oriented and comfortable working with diverse populations
Strong self-motivation with the ability to work independently
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform many strenuous tasks including packing, unpacking, and moving boxes which may weigh up to 50 lbs.
Normal work week is 37.5 hours, Tuesday through Saturday.

Job Description
As ShiftLeader, you will be responsible for overseeing Access Control Officers (ACOs) during assigned shifts on large projects or campus environments, reporting to the Site Logistics Leader or Area Logistics Leader, depending on project size.
Your job will be to ensure consistent operational performance, maintain compliance with site requirements, and support all workforce logistics. Broadly, the ShiftLeader acts as the first line of leadership for ACOs and, when the Site Logistics Leader is not onsite, serves as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders. In this way the position mirrors many functions of the Site Logistics Leader but on a smaller scale, with focus on shift-level supervision and execution.
In the bigger picture, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with customers and internal stakeholders and delivering the highest-quality service across construction environments that are continually changing, dynamic, and uncertain. This requires an obsessive commitment to understanding customers' and colleagues' values, immediate and evolving needs, and preferences, to enable them to maximize success on each project and across their broader project portfolio and enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
This position involves the following responsibilities.
Shift Oversight and Compliance:
Lead and supervise ACOs assigned to a specific shift or project within a campus. Ensure all ACOs are properly deployed, trained, and supported during their shifts. Monitor compliance with company policies, customer expectations, and site-specific protocols.
Operational Leadership:
Act as primary onsite leader when Site Logistics Leader is unavailable. Serve as escalation point for shift-level issues, including site access concerns, scheduling adjustments, and urgent workforce matters. Coordinate directly with Site Logistics Leader to relay shift updates, challenges, and performance concerns.
Workforce Management:
Verify attendance, time in/out compliance, and overall performance of shift personnel. Provide real-time coaching and support to ACOs, ensuring high standards of professionalism and customer service. Report performance concerns or disciplinary matters to Site Logistics Leader for follow-up.
Customer & Stakeholder Interaction:
Serve as point of contact for customer representatives during assigned shifts. Communicate site conditions, workforce movements, and shift-level concerns clearly and professionally. Support a positive relationship between Sitemetric, general contractors, and subcontractors onsite.
Logistics & Administration:
Assist in maintaining accurate records related to shift operations (attendance logs, incident reports, site access data). Ensure equipment and technology are functioning properly during the shift, escalating technical issues as needed. Support scheduling adjustments and shift coverage planning in coordination with Site Logistics Leader.
Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience as an Access Control Officer or in a similar leadership/supervisory role preferred.

What Will You Do?
POSITION SUMMARY
Train for the position of ShiftLeader to operate the restaurant in the absence of the Senior/General Manager. Assist in achieving sale growth through maintaining the highest standard in quality, service, and cleanliness with constant focus on profitability and achieving operating standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To train in the essential functions of a ShiftLeader which include the following:
Supervise shifts and maintain the company standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
Train and develop crew under the direction of management.
Maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and crew. Assist with crew member duties as needed.
Conduct crew meetings prior to shift, as needed, to discuss operations procedures, promotions, safety, security, training, etc.

Ensure all HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures are recognized and enforced to provide a safe and compliant environment for all when in charge of the shift.

Position Overview
The Assistant Store Leader of Guest Engagement leads and supports the Store Leader by directing activities required to achieve all store goals, including best of class guest service, sales objectives, operating expenses, loss prevention, and merchandising presentation, while driving both associate and guest engagement. You will provide guests with exceptional service, through relationship building, product knowledge, and presenting a clean, well-maintained store environment. Guest Engagement Leaders drive excellence and provide leadership in all aspects of the store with a special focus on development of associates and the guest experience.

Job Description
As ShiftLeader, you will be responsible for overseeing Access Control Officers (ACOs) during assigned shifts on large projects or campus environments, reporting to the Site Logistics Leader or Area Logistics Leader, depending on project size.
Your job will be to ensure consistent operational performance, maintain compliance with site requirements, and support all workforce logistics. Broadly, the ShiftLeader acts as the first line of leadership for ACOs and, when the Site Logistics Leader is not onsite, serves as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders. In this way the position mirrors many functions of the Site Logistics Leader but on a smaller scale, with focus on shift-level supervision and execution.
In the bigger picture, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with customers and internal stakeholders and delivering the highest-quality service across construction environments that are continually changing, dynamic, and uncertain. This requires an obsessive commitment to understanding customers' and colleagues' values, immediate and evolving needs, and preferences, to enable them to maximize success on each project and across their broader project portfolio and enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
This position involves the following responsibilities.
Shift Oversight and Compliance:
Lead and supervise ACOs assigned to a specific shift or project within a campus. Ensure all ACOs are properly deployed, trained, and supported during their shifts. Monitor compliance with company policies, customer expectations, and site-specific protocols.
Operational Leadership:
Act as primary onsite leader when Site Logistics Leader is unavailable. Serve as escalation point for shift-level issues, including site access concerns, scheduling adjustments, and urgent workforce matters. Coordinate directly with Site Logistics Leader to relay shift updates, challenges, and performance concerns.
Workforce Management:
Verify attendance, time in/out compliance, and overall performance of shift personnel. Provide real-time coaching and support to ACOs, ensuring high standards of professionalism and customer service. Report performance concerns or disciplinary matters to Site Logistics Leader for follow-up.
Customer & Stakeholder Interaction:
Serve as point of contact for customer representatives during assigned shifts. Communicate site conditions, workforce movements, and shift-level concerns clearly and professionally. Support a positive relationship between Sitemetric, general contractors, and subcontractors onsite.
Logistics & Administration:
Assist in maintaining accurate records related to shift operations (attendance logs, incident reports, site access data). Ensure equipment and technology are functioning properly during the shift, escalating technical issues as needed. Support scheduling adjustments and shift coverage planning in coordination with Site Logistics Leader.
Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience as an Access Control Officer or in a similar leadership/supervisory role preferred.
