    Job Description KidsLife Child Care Center is a Christian child care organization located at the Peerless Center in Johnson City. We offer care for children ages: 6 weeks - 12 months, 12 months - 18 months, 18 months - 24 months, 2 years old, 3 years old, and Pre-K age. Our operating hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 6pm and we're closed on weekends! We have morning shifts from 7:30am - 2pm and afternoon shifts from 2pm - 6pm available for our teachers. We are getting geared up to open 3 more classrooms and are needing morning and afternoon teachers for each! We're currently hiring teachers who are loving, willing to grow and learn, and who have an excellent work ethic to come and join our team! Duties Teachers at KidsLife will be responsible for the following: Weekly development and implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans accompanying activities which promote learning and development for infants, toddlers, and/or pre-k aged children. Provide attentive care within the requirements of state and facility policy to each child. The care should ensure the safety, health, and well-being of each child at all times. Foster positive relationships with all children, encourage developmentally appropriate social skills, promote emotional and positive growth, and appropriately nurture each child's independence. Maintain positive relationships with the families of children in your class and work in unity and harmony with all co-workers. Manage all classroom behavior effectively and constructively using appropriate research based behavior management techniques for the purpose of maintaining a stable, positive learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may be observed. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the best interests of all children. Clean, sanitize, and organize the classroom space and equipment at the end of each day. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible for children. Stay informed about childhood development best practices, participate in all center training, and incorporate best practices into daily activities. Participate in other available opportunities for professional growth as required.10) Complete the required number of training hours per year and attend regular staff meetings.
