In the same year of 1893, St Elizabeth School was built and opened with an enrollment of 70 student.
As early as 1907, Father Szepessy, the second pastor of St Elizabeth began to petition the Bishop of Cleveland for permission to raise money to build a new church that would hold up to 1300 parishioners.
Permission was finally granted by the bishop and, in 1918, construction of the new church was begun.
Just as an example of the growth of the parish, there were 455 baptism, 108 marriages and 206 burials in 1918.
Saint David's Church on Springdale Drive, built in 1923, was a mission church of Saint Wendelin Parish in Carrick.

Fr. Árpád Imre Tanos became the third pastor of St Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in 1927 and spent 44 years leading the parish.
First parcel of property for the mission is purchased from George Boyle. (January 3, 1928)
Construction of first church begins. (March 1928)
Permission is requested from the Archbishop to establish mission church as a parish with a resident pastor (September 22, 1930). Unfortunately, permission is not granted.
Raised to the status of parish in 1937, the growing population quickly outgrew the size of the church.
Parish is established on Wednesday, November 19, 1941.
Plans are complete and funds are raised for St Elizabeth Parochial Grade School. (Spring/Summer 1952)
St Elizabeth School formally opens with the Sisters of Mercy of Merion Pennsylvania engaged as teachers and administrators. (September 1953)
Father James Ryan celebrated the first Mass of St Elizabeth of Hungary Parish on April 2, 1956, on the gym stage at Grant School.
The first Mass was offered in the new church on August 11, 1957.
John G. Engler celebrates the Silver Jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood on June 10, 1958.
Little did he or anyone know that when he offered his First Mass as a priest in Saint Elizabeth Church in May of 1961 that he would one day return as pastor.
Father Engler celebrates a Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving and Monsignor Leo Fink delivers the homily on November 20, 1966.
Frederick A. Winkler takes over as pastor on September 17, 1967.
Preliminary plans for the new church, offices and rectory are presented to the congregation in July 1968.
The church is completed and opened on Sunday, May 9, 1971 with a solemn mass which is celebrated by Bishop Joseph Mc Shea, Bishop of Allentown.
Upon the retirement ofMonsignor Immekus in 1971, Father Jim Aaron became the second pastor of Saint Elizabeth Parish and he built upon the energy of his predecessor in moving the parish through the challenging years following the Second Vatican Council.
Transferred in 1984, the leadership was then placed into the capable hands and heart of Father Roy Conley, a hometown boy who was raised in Saint Elizabeth Parish.
Frederick A. Winkler passes away on December 11, 1986.
Thomas J. Welsh, Bishop of Allentown, celebrates the Jubilee Mass on Sunday, November 24, 1991.
Chris Martin, Director of Vocations, was appointed parochial administrator until he was appointed Vice Rector of Kenrick Seminary on July 1, 2016.
Brian Fallon, Director of Vocations, was appointed parochial administrator and on July 7, 2018 was appointed Pastor until he was appointed Pastor at St Mary Magdalen Parish in St Louis City.
In January of 2020 Archbishop Carlson of the Archdiocese of St Louis and Bishop Zaidan of the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon Los Angeles announced a new partnership for St Elizabeth of Hungary parish under the leadership of the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon Los Angeles.
