GENERAL NATURE OF WORK: Under general supervision, provide ML services to students identified as Multi-Lingual Learners in accordance with state and federal regulations. Work involves developing and implementing the ML instructional strategies that are compatible with the student's age, grade and developmental level. The ML teacher is responsible for developing lesson plans, adapting materials, and designing activities to assist ML students to develop appropriate academic, behavioral, and social skills and meet their ML goals. The teacher is responsible for monitoring student's progress and for maintaining student records in compliance with state and federal guidelines. When providing social skills instruction on campus, the ML teacher will develop engaging lessons focusing on the individual social skill needs of the student. The ML Social Skills teacher should work with the regular education teacher to ensure consistent practices.
