I would also love for someone to play with our dog in the yard while the baby is napping. Also, Having some help with dishes and some other light house work would be a bonus! Job Summary
The City and Regional Planning Department seeks a full-time lecturer with a record of teaching (either demonstrated or with the potential for success) in one or more of the following areas: community planning, urban design, and Geographic Information Systems. The position is for the 2026-27 academic year, which will be Cal Poly's first year on the semester system. This position is eligible for re-appointment for one additional year, subject to satisfactory performance and departmental needs. Candidates shall demonstrate the ability to lead either community planning studios or urban design studios. Teaching includes laboratory (studio) and lecture-format courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Learn-by-doing and project-based learning is the preferred teaching model. Studios may require working will real community clients such as cities, counties, or community-based organizations. Candidates who demonstrate proficiency in GIS will have a competitive advantage. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A master's degree in planning, landscape architecture, urban design, architecture, or closely related field is required.
