THE PLACE
The Burnside Shelter of Portland Rescue Mission hosts our 24-hour ministry 365 days of the year to individuals experiencing homelessness in downtown Portland. Our Burnside Shelter is home to a broad spectrum of comprehensive emergency services, from immediate care (meals, restrooms, mail service, showers, clothing, etc.) to transitional shelter programming for men, all provided by a diverse and skilled team focused on providing compassionate care and building relationships that serve to support growth away from the street environment.
THE POSITION
The Men's Shelter Night Team Member will have the opportunity to give hope and restore life through delivering our guest care ministry to people utilizing the overnight men's shelter services and those seeking care and refuge from the street in the overnight hours. This person will have a highly relational approach to ministry and an ability to winsomely share Christ whenever possible with people entering the doors of the Burnside Shelter. A heart for compassionate service, an eye for operational excellence, and an ability to maintain a safe environment in the midst of a variety of challenges are a must.
THE ESSENTIALS
Serve as part of the guest services team in providing coverage of the daily operations of the Burnside facility, especially the work of the Guest Relations Office and men's shelter ministries
Welcome guests into a dynamic environment of Christian hospitality, providing them with compassionate care and encouraging them towards hope and life transformation
Ensure the Burnside Shelter is a safe and healing environment through operational excellence, following PRM's safety practices, and de-escalating potentially volatile situations whenever necessary
Ensure all operational procedures and PRM policies are followed resulting in effective care for all Guests and Connect participants
Document significant interactions with Guests in PRM database and communicate important information with coworkers via email
Welcome and support individual volunteers and volunteer groups serving in the Burnside Shelter, be available and present to navigate difficult interactions and provide coverage when necessary
Winsomely share the Gospel to Guests and Program Participants through one on one and small group settings whenever possible

POSITION OVERVIEW
Crew Members perform essential duties in many different areas within the restaurant, including the cash register (POS) area, grill, dressing station, fry station, lobby, and morning prep area. Crew Members provide friendly, fast, and accurate service in order to ensure an unsurpassed guest experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a complete range of food preparation and cooking techniques per Five Guys online videos and adherence to the Five Guys Operations Manual.
Excels in performing essential tasks including order taker/dining room attendant, grill operator, sandwich maker, fry station, drinks, and cashier.
Understand proper food handling and food safety standards (Steritech), and local health department standards.
Maintains friendly, fast, and accurate service ensures an unsurpassed guest experience, and ensures all products are consistent with company standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position will require long periods of standing on hard surfaces, occasionally in warm temperatures. Principal Responsibilities:

Sanitation and cleaning: Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks, including sanitizing work areas, tools, and equipment. Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow all sanitation SOPs.
Palletize and store finished goods: Stack and wrap pallets of finished products for freezer storage or shipment.

Serve as the front-line contact for NetLine's publisher partners. You'll provide operational and technical support, ensure successful campaign fulfillment, troubleshoot data and integration issues, and contribute to an exceptional partner experience.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary support resource for NetLine's network of publishers and media partners
Onboard new publishers and assist with content feed setup, audience tagging, and campaign activation
Troubleshoot delivery, tagging, or data flow issues in coordination with internal technical teams
Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations to optimize lead volume and quality

Answers the phone to assist guests with questions or placing future orders
Accepts delivery of product, unload pallets and organize using FIFO standards
Cleans and stocks food preparation areas, floors, cooking surfaces, and utensils; assists with the cleaning of any other areas as directed
Cooks and prepares food according to production guidelines, food safety and sanitation procedures
Acts as quality check for all Voodoo product adhering to recipe and presentation guidelines
Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as fryers, warmers, mixers, and convection ovens
Works in front of hot fryers and cold refrigerators
Evaluates shop needs and environment, encouraged to provide constructive feedback to managers to foster a successful shop workflow
Reports any safety, product quality, or guest concerns to their management team; assists with resolution as directed
Works with chemicals used in cleaning and sanitizing
Maintains a calm and cool presence during peak volumes or unannounced events
Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
Attends all team meetings as necessary

Requirements:
Current food handler's card indicating working knowledge of health code and safety regulations
One-year customer service or bakery experience preferred
Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays
Positive and professional attitude
Demonstrate a superior work ethic
Basic math and kitchen/cooking skills
Reliable transportation
Handles cooked or raw bacon and possible allergens including soy, wheat, dairy, strawberries, and/or coconut
Able to multi-task in an environment of high volume and input

Physical Requirements:
As a member of our team, you will be working in a kitchen environment rotating between front and back of house. This requires walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling to handle or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You will be asked to operate traditional restaurant and bakery equipment. Depending on the location, you may need to go up and down stairs. The ability to communicate and exchange information with coworkers and others is also required. The ability to comply with all public health requirements, including wearing a mask, is required.

The Member Service Representative is a key position within the club. The front desk is where our guests and members receive their first impressions of the club as they enter. The Member Service Representative (MSR) is required to greet guests and members with warmth and enthusiasm by smiling and welcoming each person into our location. The Member Service Representative (MSR) is expected to tour and enroll guests in memberships, personal training services, and provide accurate and detailed information about our facility. In addition to assisting our guest and members with questions and providing excellent customer service, our FDA helps maintain a high level of cleanliness within the club by conducting regular walk throughs. The Member Service Representative (MSR) assists in day to day operations that include, but is not limited to, setting up monthly billing, handling billing issues, educating members on club services and supplements, and many other operational duties. This job entails a wide scope of duties and offers room for career growth within the company. This entry level position will provide the education and development needed to thoroughly understand the meaning behind being, “Perpetually Triumphant!”
