Brillante Academy Public Charter School opened its doors in August 2023 and currently serves over 350 students from the Rio Grande Valley in the Mission area and surrounding communities. Position Overview
We're looking for a dedicated and mission-driven team member to join our school community. support students throughout the day. This role provides student support and supervision during key transitions, including escorting students during arrival and dismissal, and supervising lunch and recess to ensure a safe, joyful environment. In addition, this position serves as a 3rd grade Teaching Assistant, supporting small-group and Science instruction. Role Mission: IDEA Co-Teachers learn instructional strategies and develop their teaching skills in order to provide highly effective instruction to IDEA students. IDEA Co-Teachers implement Direct Instruction Curriculum (DI) and are responsible for student instruction under the guidance of an IDEA teacher and assistant principal of instruction. DI co-teachers use clear instruction and always teach to mastery. This means that teachers do not move on in the lesson until students have grasped the content they need to know.
