ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Applies comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents and support complex integrated systems in accordance with the published FAA or manufacturer guidance or documentation. * Perform tasks to include a wide array of complex and varying assignments and understand new technologies and methods that require the application of technical knowledge. * Applies judgement to the planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments, as well as provide familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits. * Performs testing utilizing Oscilloscopes, Digital volt/ohm meters, and other test equipment. * Performs fact finding and analysis, as required, to address a single activity or a routine problem, and apply established procedures where the nature of the system, feasibility, computer equipment, operating system and programming language have been decided. * Conducts research on routine user problems and solve them by modifying the existing system when the solutions follow clear precedents. * Assists higher level technicians and provides guidance to lower-level technicians. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) and a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience; or an Associate degree and a minimum of two (2) years or relevant experience.
