JOB FUNCTION:
The Foundry Furnace Tech must be able to perform all operations and operate equipment efficiently in performing duties.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to operate 3 Vacuum furnaces, equiax, D.S. and single crystal and be able to accurately record all necessary information.
Operate furnace to produce quality products within specified parameters.
Ram crucibles on all furnaces, change over on D.S. susceptors/coils and melt coils
Maintain furnaces by performing specified PM's and cleaning furnace chambers for optimum performance, load and unload preheat furnaces
Must be able to interpret and perform all duties according to PES's and OI, and special lot instructions. Knowledge of OI a must.
Record on a daily basis all work performed and the correct distribution of the work time identifying same by the operational codes
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors. Follow all safety rules
Suggestions for improving foundry functions and procedures.
Computer skills a plus.
Operate a forklift
Extreme heat involved.
Heavy lifting required (up to 30 pounds).
Must comply to 6S requirements.
Must understand and comply to departmental safety requirements.
Ability to train workers and encourage team skills.
Assist in decisions to operate furnace under questionable conditions.
Leader of preheat operator.

EDUCATION:
High school education.
EXPERIENCE:
One month Basic OJT.
Three months training technique.

Verbal and written communication inter-department (maintenance, erg, etc.)
EFFORT:
Normal effort required. Must be able to lift 16-30 pounds approximately 5 times per hour. Hoist used for weights above 30 pounds.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Follow verbal instructions and communicate across shifts. Must be willing to work daily overtime and weekend overtime as necessary.

What you'll be working on
· Conducts maintenance on distillers, i.e., oil changes, blows out airlines, cleans and tightens belts, etc.

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Repair Technician to join our team at Southern Appliances. In this role, you will travel to customers homes and businesses, diagnose and repair their existing appliances. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and has the technical skills to get the job done. Customer satisfaction is a top priority.
Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:
Tests, services, and repairs tractors and related mechanical components.
* Diagnose and repair most transmission, engine, electrical, suspension, driveline, HVAC, brakes and air systems. May require assistance from Tech III.
* Repair/Replace bolt on body parts such as hoods and cab extenders.
* Perform DOT inspections as outlined in USX guidelines.
* Perform open seat inspections to prepare tractor for next driver.
* Perform 90 day lease operator inspections.
* Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in timely fashion.
* Capable of using all diagnostic equipment and resources.
* Drive trucks in and out of shop before and after repairs.

* Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.
* Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers
* Check vehicle fluids; transmission, oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze, etc.
* Perform vehicle preventative maintenance (pm's) as outlined in USX pm guidelines.
* Change vehicle tires.

What We're Looking For:
Education
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years of tractor experience required.
* A Technical Diploma from an accredited Diesel Technology Program may substitute for 1 year of the required experience.

Key Responsibilities
Provides helper functions as directed for all services. These services include but are not limited to hydro blasting, hydro excavating, vacuum truck work, tank cleaning, Filter cleaning / reloading, and other work assignments. Performs work with a positive attitude and in a professional, safe manner.
Loads hoses and other equipment required for an assigned job onto the truck. (Necessary materials to be designated by supervisor).
When directed by the supervisor, hooks up and break down hoses using proper safety gear, tools, gaskets, and Teflon tape.
Cleans up work area and equipment after work is completed. Assists in maintaining a safe, clean workplace, restroom, and customer plant.
Before starting any job, assist in inspecting equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
Reports to work on scheduled time. If unable to show up for assigned work, notify the supervisor no less than two (2) hours before the scheduled time.
Wears personnel protective equipment prescribed by posted signs, written instructions, and work permits.
Promotes safety through own actions and work habits. Reports all accidents and near misses involving self, company vehicles, or other job personnel to the supervisor immediately.
Performs Hazard Recognition Awareness to remove all hazards from the workplace.
Complies with all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the company and customer.

YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
On-call for critical systems maintenance may be required. First shift hours Monday - Friday, with occasional 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends depending on project schedules.

Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition
Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors
Perform routine maintenance tasks
Organize custodial closets and spaces
Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment
Work up to 20 hours per week
Qualifications:
Must be available to work Monday through Saturday (be available to work between 8am-8pm).
Ability to stand for 2-3 hours consecutively.
Ability to handle a physical workload.
