    Department: RU&D/Operations Reports To: Field Supervisor or District Manager The Rig Up & Down Technician is responsible for the assembly (rig-up) and disassembly (rig-down) of oilfield equipment and machinery at well sites. This role is essential for preparing sites for drilling, completions, or servicing operations, and ensuring safe and efficient equipment mobilization and demobilization. Key Responsibilities: Rig-Up Operations: Assemble and install oilfield service equipment at well sites following company procedures and safety standards. Connect high-pressure iron, tanks, manifolds, hoses, valves, and pumps as needed. Assist in verifying and testing equipment before it is placed into operation. Rig-Down Operations: Disassemble and remove equipment in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner after job completion. Clean and inspect equipment for wear, damage, or missing components. Assist in loading and securing equipment for transport back to the yard. Equipment Maintenance & Inspection: Perform pre- and post-job inspections and routine maintenance of rig-up gear and tools. Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors for repair or replacement. Safety & Compliance: Follow all Company and customer-specific safety protocols, including wearing PPE and attending daily safety meetings. Assist with hazard assessments and site evaluations. Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other crew members, drivers, and field supervisors to ensure coordinated efforts. Communicate effectively to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues at the site. Other Duties as Assigned: Support warehouse or yard operations as needed when not on location. Participate in job-related training or certification programs. Qualifications Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise) Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, stoop, and climb Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and travel to remote locations Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions and diagrams Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)

Position Summary The Field Technician is responsible for the management and integration of gas and power equipment. The Field Technician will have experience with instrument and control platforms such as CAT, ComAP, Rockwell/AB, and/or Deep Sea. This position will work in the field on customer sites or at Alkane facilities. Additionally, the Field Technician will provide maintenance, upkeep, and repairs on generators in our fleet which includes servicing of natural gas and diesel engines according to company standards, inspections of running equipment, and general upkeep of all company assets. This position serves the Permian Basin operating in Seminole, Texas. Responsibilities Provide customer support during field visits. Execute onsite repairs, maintenance, and other related tasks with prescribed schedule. Diagnose errors or technical problems through PLC interface(s). Identify proper action with remote technical support as needed. Identify required spare parts and equipment and establish par levels. Document all processes and work performed during services and repairs. Help implement and follow standard operating procedures. Prepare and exercise equipment prior to mobilization. Assist all other field technicians regarding troubleshooting repairs. Safely drive to and from multiple customer locations in most weather conditions. Safely haul trailer-mounted generators to and from customer locations. Maintain company trucks including daily stocking and inventory of parts. Maintain company tools to keep them in good condition and working order. Perform all work in a safe manner according to company and customer policies. Adhere to proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (i.e., safety toe boots, hard hat, fall protection, eye protection, hearing protection, and flame-retardant clothing). Obtain and maintain customer safety certifications. Perform other duties as assigned/required. Qualifications Experience and Knowledge Requirements Possess strong and varied mechanical knowledge and experience that may include: Natural gas and diesel engines. Gas turbines and/or reciprocating engines. PSI, Caterpillar, and/or Cummins power generation equipment. Oil and gas related maintenance. PLC's and electrical systems. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing and logistics. Position Requirements Possess a functioning cell phone with GPS and ability to install business applications. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record. Pass a DOT drug and alcohol test and background check and participate in the company's drug and alcohol program. Pass Texas RRC LNG Certification exam. Desired Traits Possess a “safety first” attitude. Possess good character, strong work ethic, professional appearance, and team-oriented attitude. Ability and willingness to learn mechanical and electrical systems and components. Ability and willingness to be cross trained on Plant and Fleet activities. Physical Requirements Ability to perform the following physical activities: working outside, standing for long periods, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, or reaching, sitting, stooping, crouching, working at elevated locations and platforms and crawling. Ability to work in remote locations in difficult environmental conditions and respond to after-hours call outs. Ability to work long hours in all weather conditions.
