Technician I - Operations Position Overview The Grand River Energy Center power plant is seeking a highly driven individual to support the operations team. This position is an entry level position that will perform semi-skilled manual work while working under the supervision of a high performing multi-unit power generation team. Essential job functions include, but are not limited to: Promotes continual improvement, working to identify opportunities to improve safety and equipment reliability. Operates scrubbers, steam turbines, generators, plant auxiliary equipment and systems during normal and emergency operations. Monitor and inspect all plant equipment for normal operation. Must possess mental, visual, and auditory acuity for attention to visual and auditory detail. Manual dexterity is required for operation of test equipment, small tools, and the installation, adjustment, and repair of control devices.
