    Job Description/Tasks/Responsibilities Is responsible for the assembly, disassembly and maintenance of EnergySolutions stationary machinery and equipment. Performs routine scheduled maintenance and repairs of broken and malfunctioning machines/equipment. Performs installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers (e.g., plumbers, carpenters, welders and pipefitters). Installs, maintains, upgrades and fabricates machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools. Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. These tasks are necessary to ensure smooth company operations and to ensure high-quality products and services for EnergySolutions customers. Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, precision bearings, gear boxes, motors, mechanical clutches, conveyors and tram rails using hoists, pulleys, dollies, rollers and trucks. Bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens machinery/equipment to foundations or other structures using hand and power tools. Constructs foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement and steel. Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs. Operates engine lathes to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications. Takes measurements to ensure installed machines function at their maximum capacity. Dismantles machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand and power tools. Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks. Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment. There is no supervision of other workers at this level. Responsible for the quality of his/her own work and satisfying customer (internal and external) specifications. Must be able to work independently and resolve practical problems. Must complete process/facility training as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities As an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC), you may: Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment. Operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, mainframe computers, large screen displays, LANs, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems.
