JOB SUMMARY: The primary function of the Logistics Manager is to provide consistent leadership and excellence in supply chain distribution and materials management by managing the overall activities of the Materials Management and Shipping/Receiving departments and by taking on the role of a working manager when needed as part of ensuring that SQF product is delivered on time and on budget. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 5 - 7 years' materials management and distribution warehousing managerial and supervisory. experience within the food and beverage manufacturing and/or co-packing environment. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Solid understanding of WMS. SKILLS, TRAITS, AND COMPETENCIES: Working, practical and current knowledge of warehousing, receiving, shipping and logistics best practices; relevant skills within a manufacturing work environment required. Experience in inventory control and management; supply chain experience required. Skill and ability to institute improvements in efficiency, throughput and quality. Experience using ERP / MES / MRP / Shop Manufacturing Systems a plus. Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving skills. Receiving Work-in-Process and Finished Goods from production departments. Transferring inventory between inventory categories, warehouses and locations. Receiving Raw Materials and supplies from vendors / suppliers. Receiving service providers, customers, government representatives and other visitors. Shipping finished goods products and other materials to customers and others. Arranging and tracking logistic carriers. Establish and maintain an organized inventory control and management system of locations by product code, quantity, storage and accessibility needs in an effective manner that optimizes productivity and efficiency while. Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, results-oriented Logistics Manager to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract, ideally with a 3-month on, 1-month off rotation cycle. The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility. All support services are being provided by the US Government, including camp facilities and basic life support requirements, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary support services. Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures. Requirements: Citizenship All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders. Sponsorship will not be available. Experience in managing and leading a medium-sized team with diverse functional responsibilities. This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation.
