Yes, Providence drug tests. Providence uses a 10-panel urine drug screen, which includes Amphetamines, including methamphetamines; barbiturates. Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Marijuana, Methadone, Opiates, Phencyclidine.
In most cases, they drug test as a condition of the onboarding process and they also have a right to randomly drug test employers or do so if they suspect the employee may be intoxicated.
Providence is a large healthcare organization with multiple facilities and locations. In more recent years, Providence does not always require a drug test for all positions and depending on the location. In those cases, Providence does ask their new employee to sign a contract saying they will not use drugs including marijuana while working at Providence.
It doesn't matter if you live in a legalized state or have a medical marijuana license. Providence does not allow any employee to use cannabis while working at Providence. If you fail the marijuana portion of the drug test you will automatically be let go, no questions asked.
