Does Providence drug test?

Providence is a large healthcare organization with multiple facilities and locations. In more recent years, Providence does not always require a drug test for all positions and depending on the location. In those cases, Providence does ask their new employee to sign a contract saying they will not use drugs including marijuana while working at Providence.

It doesn't matter if you live in a legalized state or have a medical marijuana license. Providence does not allow any employee to use cannabis while working at Providence. If you fail the marijuana portion of the drug test you will automatically be let go, no questions asked.

In addition to drug testing, Providence also requires a Health Screen verification, which includes a TB exposure screening, annual influenza vaccination, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella immunizations, Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/ Pertussis (Tdap) and COVID vaccinations.

Providence is a tobacco-free workplace and prohibits its employees from using regular cigarettes, chewing tobacco, electronic cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, vapes, or any other variations in or around company property.
