This question is about architect.
You can become an architect without a degree by completing the Architectural Experience Program (AXP) and passing the Architect Registration Examination. Hawaii, Colorado, and Washington as well as some other states do not require a formal education to be an architect.
Traditionally, aspiring architects would earn a bachelor's or master's degree in architectural design or a similar field. They would complete the Architectural Experience Program and pass the exam. Once these steps are completed, they can apply for licensure. Some states require additional experience.
For those without a degree, some states require only a college education of some sort and some require no degree at all. In Hawaii, they require at least 11 years of work experience for aspiring architects without a degree. If you have a bachelor's, master's, or PhD. in architecture, only 3 years of experience is needed to apply for licensure.
In Washington, aspiring architects who do not have a degree may obtain their license by passing the Architect Registration Examination. They must also have at least 9 years of experience and complete the AXP. These states allow licensure without a degree too:
Arizona
Colorado
Oklahoma
Tennessee
New York
