How to get the A+ certification

By Zippia Team - Dec. 9, 2022

You will need to pass two different exams that test your basic knowledge of firmware, software, and networking issues in order to get the A+ certification. These exams must be passed one after the other. To prepare for the exams, you will need to familiarize yourself with these subjects.

The Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) offers various training methods for the exams, such as study guides and virtual labs. There are no official training requirements; you just need to be able to pass the exams.

Each exam costs $219, and you can take them when you feel prepared and ready to pass. Once you have passed, your certification is valid for three years, after which you will need to complete 20 hours in CompTIA's continuing education program to renew.
