You make a resume for an internship by focusing on showcasing your academic achievements, professional experience, and skills. As someone who is new to the industry, you probably do not have much professional experience under your belt, which means that you're really going to highlight other sections in the resume such as the education section, skills section, and optional sections volunteer work and hobbies.
To get started you should reflect upon not only your educational experience, but also other life experiences that are relevant to be successful in this internship. With limited experience, it might be a good idea to also include a work portfolio that provides details of any projects that you have worked on. The education section is a great opportunity to highlight some core academic achievements and specific projects you may have worked on. Include work experience, however, only if it's relevant, working a summer at a pizza shop is not what a hiring manager wants to see unless you can provide examples of times you took on a leadership position or helped the company save or make money. You want to paint a picture of yourself as a candidate who has the skills and enthusiasm needed to do well in this internship.
Being enthusiastic and eager to learn is a very attractive trait to have in an internship candidate. An employer is not just looking for someone to take on busy work. They typically are providing a mentorship experience in the field.
