Corporate finance is important to all managers because it provides skills that managers need to complete tasks. Managers have many different tasks, and although it is important for them to have great written and verbal communication skills, there are many other skills that may be overlooked but are still important such as corporate finance.

Specifically, corporate finance provides managers with the skills to identify and select corporate strategies and individual projects that may add value to their company. It also provides them with the ability to forecast funding requirements for their company. Then, they are also able to devise strategies for acquiring these funds.
