Baldwin Supply Company was founded under the firm name of Baldwin Service Company by James Clark Rowett in 1920.
Their business careers were temporarily interrupted; Groen served in the Air Force and Nyrop in the Army, from 1942 until the end of the war.
Nyrop and Groen both went off to serve their country in World War II, but they returned and were able to take on full leadership by 1946.
1998 Baldwin opened its first branch location in Owatonna, MN.
Baldwin expanded again in 2013, adding a new branch in St Cloud.Baldwin’s long-term growth and success is impressive, particularly in a market now dominated by large corporate chains, but that accomplishment is due to the loyalty of its customers, who have gone on to great success themselves.
2015Baldwin Supply Company announced in February 2015 that they will become a founding distributor member of the Affiliated Distributors (AD) Bearings & Power Transmission Division.AD is a dynamic community of independent distributors and manufacturers of construction and industrial products.
