The Office of Racial Equity (ORE) at the State of Vermont is seeking a Racial Justice Data Analyst. This position will work within the Division of Racial Justice Statistics (DRJS) to provide analysis and recommendations on processes to improve data collection and quality. The position may prepare information to inform testimony for legislative hearings, attend meetings with state Boards, Committees, Commissions, and Councils as requested.
The Data Analyst will contribute to the development and management of public-facing data tools, visualizations, and websites, which may require working with the Agency of Digital Services to coordinate the development of necessary tools, systems, and future enhancements to support the work. The position may help coordinate research partnerships and contracts with external partners, and help coordinate research requests, and will assure that federal and state statistical reporting requirements are met.
This position will bring an equity lens to all aspects of research and policy analysis, which will require:
Knowledge and ability to apply equity principles to traditional research methods while ensuring a high level of analytical rigor.
Working knowledge of the operations, characteristics and capabilities of automated data processing tools and the application of such tools to information processing needs.

Knowledge of Agency, State and Federal confidentiality laws, security standards, and necessary access policies as they pertain to clients and data of the State's systems.
This is an exempt full-time position. Anticipated approximate starting salary range from $62k to $83k. The Business Support and Development Analyst is responsible for Cabot's sales research projects focused on identifying important trends and opportunities with Cabot's retail customers. The position works with Sales, Marketing and Sr Leadership to set priorities. This role reports to the Manager, Insights and Analytics
We offer a hybrid schedule onsite Tuesday - Thursday in our Waitsfield, VT corporate office.
What you'll be doing:
Leverage Circana point of sale and panel data to analyze Cabot's business, identify the drivers of business growth/decline, and find opportunity areas.
Manage data in Excel and PowerPoint to create highly visual, compelling sales and marketing reports with the ability to tell the consumer story.
Provide Sales, Marketing and Sr Leadership critical insights into the brand performance at retail and consumer behavior both in store and online.
Manage Cabot's monthly Sales Reports by digging deep into complex data to glean insights.
Experience with statistical modeling/regression modeling is a plus but not required
Experience in Numerator is a plus but not required.

Please be Highly organized, responsible, and detail-oriented individual with data curiosity. Please have strong data management and trend analysis skills. Experience with point of sale and panel data necessary with IRI/Circana or AC Nielsen specific experience a bonus. Please be proficient in Microsoft office with good data visualization and storytelling skills. Able to learn on the job, retain skills, and apply to future work is essential. Must be able to meet deadlines, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and work as a team player both horizontally and vertically, as well as independently. BA/BS required.
Salary range: $65-71k

**The Role:**
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Strategy, the Sr. Analyst will be responsible for supporting the strategic initiatives of the team and shaping enterprise-wide strategies that allow our stakeholders to drive complex transformational change. The ideal candidate will be an analytical, yet agile, thinker with strong communication skills and a proven track record of applying strategic decision-making.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Support the identification and execution of strategic projects and serve as resource and thought partner to key stakeholders
+ Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses that yield compelling business insights and actionable recommendations
+ Collaborate with various GM teams and leverage external resources as needed to obtain data and/or generate insights that provide a deeper understanding of the market and our customers to inform strategy development

**Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):**
+ _3 + years of experience in, Finance, Planning, Product / Program Management, SSM, and/or strategy-related fields_
