The DSP will transport individuals to activities in the community and to/from the day program in agency-owned vehicles. In addition, they work as a team to plan recreational activities in the community. SCHEDULE This is a permanent full-time position on Monday - Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Weekends and major holidays off. REQUIREMENTS Must have a valid driver's license Must be 18 years old Must pass a criminal background check, as required by the Healthcare Worker Background Check Act (225 ILCS 46), and a DCFS CANTS background check. Experience working with individuals with disabilities in a direct support role is preferred, but related caregiving experience will be considered. Must be able to work independently or as a team Demonstrate timeliness and accuracy in documentation WAGES This position starts at $17.25/hour with a $0.50 increase when training is complete.
