Job Description:
DHHS is seeking an experienced childcare professional to serve as a ChildCare Inspection Specialist in the Grand Island area including Boone, Hall, Hamilton, Merrick, Nance, Polk and Seward and York.
Job Duties:
Conducts mandated inspections of childcare and preschool facilities in Boone, Hall, Hamilton, Merrick, Nance, Polk, Seward and York.
Informs/educates on the requirements to obtain and retain a childcare license.
Conducts complaint investigations on licensed facilities and unlicensed childcare, at times coordinating with other agencies, such as Law Enforcement and/or Children and Family Services.
Recommends and initiates appropriate licensing response to regulation violations and testifies at appeal hearings.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with specialization in elementary or early childhood education, human development, sociology, psychology, child development, social work, nursing or related field. Experience as an inspector/complaint investigator in human services licensing, child welfare investigator, and/or children's services provider at the level of licensee, director or assistant director of a childcare center. Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in elementary or early childhood education, human development, sociology, psychology, child development, social work, nursing or related field preferred.
Other: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience/knowledge of rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Must be at least 19 years of age.
4. A valid driver's license issued in the state of Nebraska and meets all insurance requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
l. Ability to communicate in spoken conversation, adequate volume speech, and have normal hearing for conversation, telephone use and emergency information systems.
2. Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and situations, to move safely about the work area.
3. Visual acuity, depth perception and field of vision within normal range.
4. Physical stamina to be standing and safely lift objects up to 50 pounds.
5. Have the physical stamina to work at least 8 hours per day and be able to travel to conferences, seminars, etc.
6. Ability to load/unload wheelchairs from accessible vehicles, transfer individuals from a wheelchair to stationary chair, and assist in personal needs.
7. Physical ability to perform tasks necessary to ensure the safety of self and others by
completing CPR and MANDT certification, and other training techniques as assigned.

PetSmart's Professional Bather (dog bather) is responsible for engaging with pet parents and their pets while providing positive experiences, salon specific services and upholding the company's vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role also shares responsibility of store cleanliness, recommending of solutions for pet parents, and pet safety standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following and may vary depending on store characteristics and needs:
* Successful completion of PetSmart's Splash training and safety certification program.
* Responsible for the pet parent experience and outcomes conducted in person, over the phone and at the sales register.
* Greets pet parents, answers their questions and assists with making reservations in the salon.
* Responsible for check-in and check-out procedures.
* Independently performs full menu of bath and brush services and standalone services, such as nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services in accordance with PetSmart's bathing standards and procedures.
* Shares additional health and wellness solutions with pet parents based on pet's needs.
* Ensures a safe environment for our associates, pets, and pet parents.
* Responsible for taking immediate action when a sick/injured pet is identified in the store; transport to the vet as needed.
