Key Functions
* Provide safety support to the project teams
* Conduct frequent safety inspections/audits of multiple job sites
* Complete weekly safety meetings (toolbox talks) with employees and subcontractors
* Assist in the development of site-specific Health and Safety Plans, Safe Work Plans, Job Hazard Analyses and Tailboards
* Investigate all near misses, injuries, accidents and property damage
* Ensure safety compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations
* Interact with project managers, supervisors and workers to identify and correct unsafe conditions or work practices
* Identify loss producing conditions and practices, recommending appropriate corrective action
* Observe tasks as they are being completed to provide support and ensure safe practices
Desired Qualifications
* Must be able to travel. Over 50% of travel is required for this role
* 5+ years of experience with electrical utility construction (underground and overhead transmission, telecom, etc.) safety and work practices preferred
* Bachelor's degree in safety, Construction Management of a related field
* Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
* Experience in human performance and error reduction
* OSHA 10 T&D, OSHA 30, OSHA 500
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
* Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner. Able to follow verbal and written instructions with little supervision.
* Ability to identify problems; determine accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations
* Must be able to pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license
* Effective communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a strong work ethic

Construction superintendent job in Hauppauge, NY
Construction Management company seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its rapidly growing 50-year-old company. This Project Manager must plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish by organizing and overseeing construction procedures to ensure they are completed on time and on budget. This candidate must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve extraordinary results.

Review issues timely if/when they arise and develop proactive solutions
Own the paperwork portion of the project
Frequent/daily visits to project job site
Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, Subcontractors, Vendors, etc. to meet the demands of the project
Develop scopes of work utilized for the procurement of subcontracts
Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
Determine required resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
Lead the Project Team through collaboration and leadership skills
Hire Subcontractors/Vendors and efficiently allocate responsibilities
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards

Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager
In-depth understanding of construction procedures, and material and project management principles
Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
Great knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge and experience of AutoDesk Build is preferred
A team player with diplomatic leadership abilities
PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
OSHA Certification

Pay: $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
