The Distribution Associate executes the receiving, storing, picking, staging and distribution of materials required for assembly/manufacture of product, and ensuring the day-to-day work task are completed in an ethical, safe manner. This position reports to the Manager, Distribution and is part of the Receiving Department located in Logan/North Logan, UT and will be an onsite position. What you will do: Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or forklifts, pick parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity, create and/or maintain transactional inventory records, maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activity, and physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments Communicate/notify appropriate personnel of shipping/inventory discrepancies, fill kits and deliver to production as required, maintain stocking/inventory objectives, and quantifies and verifies cycle counts Comply with EHS and Quality System regulations and policies, and perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices, as associated with this job type/position. Who you are: High school diploma or local equivalent, with 2+ years' experience in storing and material handling. Have demonstrated ability to communicated (read, write, and speak) in English Must be capable of passing Department of Transportation's Health Exam to operate company vehicle routing materials to and from company and outside warehouses Proficient in basic mathematics and capable of working in extreme cold conditions (-20 ̊ C/-4 ̊ F) on a regular basis. Must have the ability to communicate well and work with others, perform basic computer skills, the ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds, and have previous Forklift experience which we will certify you on. Physical/Environment Requirements: Must have the ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Previous experience with Oracle and Master Control; Knowledge of computerized material flow methods Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control; Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales.
