Position Summary
Candidate will perform all tasks in regard to the Fermentation and Downstream Processing of active biological ingredients produced in LincolnNebraska. Colleague will learn and understand basic microbiological techniques associated with Fermentation and Downstream Processing duties such as filtration, concentration, and chromatography. Hours: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm. Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Responsible for notifying appropriate personnel of problems related to resource allocation or the physical living environment to ensure their resolution.
Provide directcare services, behavioral training, housekeeping and laundry services related to the needs of developmentally disabled individuals. Perform related work as assigned.
Ensures each individual's developmental and physical needs are met through active treatment as described in the Individual Personal Plan (IPP); ensures that human and legal rights of the individual are protected.
Leads and monitors provision of active treatment and schedules of activities for individuals insuring that services are coordinated as indicated in the individuals' personal care plans.
Administers medications and treatments, performs and/or monitors individual's personal hygiene and establishes and maintains a safe working environment.
Performs personnel functions for assigned Developmental Technician staff including participating in hiring, assigning/recommending/issuing disciplinary actions including suspensions and terminations, providing on-the-job training and regular performance feedback and preparing, evaluating and conducting performance evaluations; provides comprehensive information to Human Resources representatives during the formal discipline process.
Participates in completing bi-weekly staffing schedules for shift supervised. Ensures that an adequate and appropriate number of trained staff are available to provide quality supports and services to individuals; distributes completed schedule per contract stipulations.
Transport individuals into the community on trips, leisure, or medical appointments.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Be at least 18 years of age, one year experience providing direct support to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities or experience leading, monitoring or supervising a team; possess a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications: One year experience providing direct support to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities AND experience leading, monitoring or supervising a team.
Other: Must have a valid drivers license. Incumbents are expected to successfully complete Basic Support class within 120 days and facility training requirements within 6 months of employment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for creating a safe, positive, and encouraging atmosphere for the people we support.
Provide services to address the wants and needs of people with developmental disabilities, which may include:
Supporting personal goals
Facilitating activities that provide people with socialization and connections to the community
Engaging participation in recreation, social, and skill-building activities
Transporting individuals to appointments, community outings, or other destinations
Assisting with activities of daily living, such as, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.
Reinforcing therapies, including speech, behavioral support, and physical therapy
Administering medications and other medical treatment as delegated by an HOH nurse
Maintaining knowledge of each person's specialized needs
Ensure each individuals' rights are protected and they are treated with dignity and respect.
Ensure documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, including but not limited to individual plan data, behavior plan data, community integration logs, assessments, individual funds requests, mileage logs, maintenance requests forms, and supply acquisition forms
Keep day center interior and exterior clean, organized, and tidy.
Complete all other duties as assigned

Under general supervision, Developmental Technicians:
• Provide care for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a facility setting.

Job Duties:
As a Developmental Technician you will:

Perform and/or monitor individual's personal hygiene care such as toileting, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Maintain an active environment to expand individuals' skills.
Follow individualized written plans for behavioral training.

Wages:
Developmental Technician I (Part Time/On-Call) - $15.769/hour
Developmental Technician II (Full Time) - $19.208/hour, plus an additional $3/hour for every hour worked & shift differential!
Shift differential ranges from $1.00 to $1.75 depending on shift/day of the week.

Incumbents are required to work regularly scheduled shifts with predictable attendance and work overtime up to and including entire shifts.
