DSPs in this program are responsible for providing active support in the individual's home and in the community. Areas of support will include health maintenance, medication administration, personal cares, behavior management and life skills development. Responsibilities of this position will include:
Accompanying individuals to community and social events
Assisting individuals with personal care responsibilities, administering medications and providing transportation based on individual needs
Supervising, teaching independent skills, and providing guidance to adults with disabilities and mental illness in a variety of home, community, and social settings
Documenting individual information as required by the Person-Centered Service Plan
Maintaining flexibility and composure while working alone or in a team environment
Assisting/Teaching individuals daily living skills such as household chores, laundry, cleaning, and washing dishes, as appropriate and according to their plan
Completing the competency-based modules as dictated by the North Dakota Department of Human Service, Developmental Disabilities Division
Other duties not listed above may be assigned. Required:
